The RX-7 earned its place as one of the great affordable sports cars by pairing a lightweight chassis with Mazda's rotary engine, and this 1988 Turbo marks a full decade since the model debuted. This 10th Anniversary example is a rare find, with a rebuilt engine and the original catalytic converter still in place. Finished in Crystal White, this RX-7 has a clean, sharp look that shows off its low, wedge shaped profile and hatchback body. It rides on 16 inch white wheels that match the paint for a bold, cohesive appearance, and a sunroof adds a little open air enjoyment on nice days. The color combination gives the car a crisp, period correct style that fits the special edition status. Power comes from the 1.3L turbocharged rotary engine, paired with a 5 speed manual transmission. The engine was rebuilt by Bonzai Racing in Indiana, a respected name in the rotary world, which gives this RX-7 a strong mechanical foundation. The rotary's smooth, high revving character is unlike any piston engine, and the turbo adds the punch that made this generation so fun to drive. The original catalytic converter is still in place, a detail that matters to enthusiasts who value originality. Inside, black leather seating gives the cabin a rich, sporty look that contrasts nicely with the Crystal White exterior. Power windows, locks, and mirrors add everyday convenience to a car that is otherwise all about the driving experience. The hatchback layout also gives the RX-7 more practicality than many sports cars, with room for gear and weekend luggage. This RX-7 Turbo is a great opportunity to own a 10th Anniversary rotary sports car with a professionally rebuilt engine, a manual transmission, and the clean white on black look that defines the model.
