1988 BMW M6 for sale! Motorcar Classics is proud to present this exceptional 1988 BMW M6, finished in Royal Blue Metallic over a Grey leather interior and showing just 64,687 miles. The E24 M6 is one of the most sought-after BMWs of its era the flagship of the 6-Series line, powered by the legendary 3.5-liter dual-overhead-cam inline six derived from the engine of the M1 supercar. Rated at 256 horsepower and paired exclusively with a 5-speed manual gearbox, it was among the fastest production cars BMW had ever built, and with fewer than 1,800 examples produced for the North American market, genuine M6s have become increasingly difficult to find particularly in this striking and rarely seen color combination. This is a very nice, high-level driver example, and one we know well. The car was stored with us from January 2023 before being consigned and sold through Motorcar Classics in 2024. In preparation for that sale we addressed the items that matter: an oil leak was repaired and the underside cleaned, new rear tail lenses were fitted, the driver's seat was refinished, the air conditioning compressor was repaired and recharged with new seals, and a fresh set of Continental ExtremeContact tires was installed. The buyer enjoyed the car for two years and roughly 2,200 miles, and has now returned it to us on consignment a history that speaks for itself. If you have been waiting for a well-kept, honestly presented M6 in a great color, with known recent history at our facility, this car deserves your attention. Your inspection is invited, and we welcome inquiries from collectors worldwide.
