Few sports cars deliver the connection between driver and machine quite like a Porsche 911 with a naturally aspirated engine and a proper manual transmission. This 2008 911 Carrera S Coupe brings those qualities together in one of the most desirable configurations of the 997 generation: a rear-wheel-drive Carrera S powered by a 3.8-liter flat-six and paired with a six-speed manual gearbox. With 355 horsepower, the Carrera S delivers the unmistakable sound and responsive performance that have made the 911 an icon. Its balanced chassis, precise steering, and timeless coupe styling make every drive feel like an occasion. The available Sport Chrono Package adds another layer of excitement, allowing the driver to sharpen the car s responses at the touch of a button. This example has approximately 101,000 miles and is supported by a CARFAX report showing 35 service history records and no accidents or damage reported. The report reflects six previous owners and documents a history of regular attention and maintenance. A significant investment has also been made toward addressing one of the best-known concerns associated with the 3.8-liter engine. Following a borescope inspection that revealed cylinder wall scoring, a comprehensive engine rebuild was authorized with 3A Garage Porsche & European Auto Service in Costa Mesa. The documented work includes plans for six new cylinder liners and pistons, extensive machine work, replacement bearings and engine components, and cylinder-head reconditioning. Documentation is available for review. For the enthusiast who appreciates the character of a naturally aspirated 911, the engagement of a six-speed manual, and the classic lines of the 997 coupe, this Carrera S offers an opportunity to enjoy one of Porsche s most rewarding modern classics.
