# 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX STI Java Black Pearl **Approximately 35,000 Original Miles | Two Owners | Rare One-Year-Only Color | Exceptionally Original | Owner's Personal Vehicle** Automotive Imports is proud to offer this exceptionally well-preserved **2004 Subaru Impreza WRX STI finished in rare Java Black Pearl**, a highly desirable color offered exclusively for the 2004 model year. **This STI is the personal vehicle of the owner of Automotive Imports**, who acquired it in 2024 directly from its original owner, an older automotive technician who purchased the car brand-new. With approximately 35,000 original miles, a remarkable ownership history, and an almost entirely factory-original configuration, this is an increasingly difficult vehicle to find in today's market. ### Ownership History & Maintenance The owner of Automotive Imports personally purchased this STI in 2024 with approximately 32,000 miles. Shortly after acquiring it, the dealership's service department performed a comprehensive service, including replacement of the timing belt and water pump. The vehicle has also received a **brand-new set of Continental ExtremeContact DWS performance all-season tires**. Mechanically, this STI is in excellent condition. All equipment and features operate as intended, and the car has been carefully maintained and preserved. ### Exceptional Originality One of the most desirable aspects of this STI is its originality. Unlike so many examples that have been extensively modified over the years, this vehicle remains remarkably close to its factory configuration. **The only aftermarket modification is a cat-back exhaust system.** The original factory exhaust has been retained and will accompany the vehicle at the time of sale. Finding a first-year U.S.-market STI with low mileage, limited modifications, and this level of preservation is becoming increasingly uncommon. ### Exterior & Interior Condition Finished in the stunning Java Black Pearl, this STI presents exceptionally well. The paint has been professionally ceramic coated using Adam's Polishes products, enhancing its appearance while helping protect the finish. The exterior and interior are both in outstanding condition for a vehicle more than 20 years old. In the interest of full transparency, there are a few small rock chips on the hood and minor oxidation on the upper portion of the rear spoiler. The owner elected not to refinish the spoiler, preferring to preserve the vehicle's original finish rather than disturb an otherwise beautifully presented example. Overall, the car shows incredibly well and reflects the care it has received throughout its life. ### Vehicle Highlights - Personal vehicle of the owner of Automotive Imports - Rare 2004-only Java Black Pearl exterior - Approximately 35,000 original miles - Two-owner vehicle - Purchased directly from the original owner in 2024 - Original owner was an automotive technician - Exceptionally original condition - Only aftermarket modification is a cat-back exhaust - Original factory exhaust included - Timing belt and water pump replaced at approximately 32,000 miles - Comprehensive service performed in 2024 - Brand-new Continental ExtremeContact DWS tires - Professionally ceramic coated with Adam's Polishes products - All equipment and features function properly - Outstanding overall cosmetic and mechanical condition ### An Increasingly Collectible STI The 2004 Subaru WRX STI represents an important milestone in Japanese performance-car history, marking the first year the STI was officially offered in the United States. With its turbocharged 2.5-liter boxer engine, six-speed manual transmission, driver-controlled center differential, Brembo brakes, and signature STI styling, these cars quickly became enthusiast favorites.
