This 2017 Mazda MX-5 Miata RF Grand Touring is a compact two-seat roadster with the retractable fastback body style that distinguishes the RF from the soft-top version. The silhouette is low and compact, with a short wheelbase, short overhangs, and proportions that emphasize the car's small footprint. This example is finished in Machine Gray Metallic Paint, which gives the bodywork a subdued metallic appearance without changing the underlying shape or trim details. The RF roof structure adds a more enclosed look than the standard convertible, while still preserving the open-air character associated with the model. The Grand Touring trim places this car near the top of the range, and the listed equipment focuses on comfort, convenience, and driver assistance rather than decorative additions. This Mazda is equipped with Leather Seats, and the cabin uses materials and finishes that match the car's premium trim level. The seating position is low, and the interior is organized around the driver with a simple control layout and a restrained presentation. This example includes Automatic Climate Control, which adds set-and-forget temperature management to the compact cockpit. The Advanced Keyless Entry system is also present, allowing access without the need to use a traditional key in the usual way. The cabin space remains limited by design, but the available amenities help make the interior feel more finished than the base model. The RF body structure also contributes to a more insulated environment than an open-top layout, while keeping the character of the Miata intact. This vehicle includes Premium Audio, and the sound system is part of the equipment set that separates the Grand Touring grade from lower trims. Navigation is also fitted, giving the center display integrated route guidance. The infotainment interface in the MX-5 Miata RF is arranged for straightforward use, with controls placed close to the driver and information presented in a compact format. The overall design remains uncluttered, which fits the small interior and the car's focus on direct operation. This Mazda does not rely on an excess of switchgear or elaborate display surfaces, and the available technology is centered on a few specific functions that add convenience without changing the basic character of the car. This MX-5 Miata RF Grand Touring also includes Cross Traffic Alert and Lane Departure Warning, two driver-assistance features that add to the vehicle's standard equipment list. The chassis and drivetrain are part of Mazda's longstanding lightweight roadster formula, and the car is known for responsive steering, modest dimensions, and a manual-style driving experience even when paired with available automatic features in other trims. This version keeps that approach while adding selected comfort and safety items that suit everyday use. The RF roof mechanism, the upscale interior trim, and the listed electronic aids all work within a compact package rather than expanding it into something larger or more complex. The result is a roadster with a defined equipment set and a focused mechanical character.
