Big hair, loud guitars, tight jeans, and five liters of American attitude! Welcome back to 1989, when Motley Crue was blasting through the speakers, Bon Jovi ruled the radio, and the Ford Mustang GT was the four wheeled equivalent of a backstage pass to the greatest rock show in town. GR Auto Gallery is proud to present this wickedly cool 1989 Ford Mustang GT Hatchback, dressed to impress in Oxford White with a striking Scarlet Red cloth interior. With just 40,670 miles on the odometer, this Fox Body has the kind of looks and attitude that would make even the lead singer of Poison jealous. Under that long hood sits Ford's legendary 5.0L High Output V8, backed by a proper 5 speed manual transmission. That's right, three pedals, five gears, and enough V8 soundtrack to drown out your favorite Def Leppard cassette. No paddle shifters, no driving modes, and certainly no computer asking if you're sure you want to have fun. Just grab the shifter, drop the clutch, and let the good times roll. Headers have been added and this Mustang comes with the original MSRP, factory owner's manuals, deluxe MartiReport, car cover, and cargo cover. This car is a joy to drive and performs like a rocket ship. The Oxford White exterior gives this Mustang a clean, unmistakable presence, while the Scarlet Red cloth interior turns up the volume with a serious dose of late 1980s personality. The iconic factory turbine style alloy wheels, front fog lights, bodyside moldings with accent striping, and unmistakable GT ground effects complete the look. Ford knew exactly what its customers wanted back then, and subtlety wasn't exactly topping the charts. Inside, you'll find the wonderfully nostalgic Fox Body cockpit, where the driver takes center stage. This example also features rear window defrost, along with a car cover and rear cargo cover. The practical hatchback design means there's even room for your leather jacket, guitar case, and a weekend's worth of questionable decisions. This is a rare setup of a GT without the power features, keeping it even lighter for the true performance junkie. By 1989, the Mustang GT had firmly established itself as one of America's favorite affordable performance machines. Its fuel injected 5.0L V8 delivered a factory rated 225 horsepower and 300 lb ft of torque, proving you didn't need an exotic badge or a record deal to enjoy serious performance. With a massive aftermarket following, these cars became legends of the street, drag strip, and cruise night scene. Today, finding an appealing Fox Body GT with a 5 speed manual, desirable factory colors, and just over 40,000 miles is reason enough to crank the stereo to eleven. Hair metal may have faded from the radio, but this Mustang never lost its swagger. So dig out your acid washed jeans, cue up some Guns N' Roses, and get behind the wheel. Because unlike your favorite 1980s rock band, this 5.0L Mustang doesn't need a reunion tour to remind everyone why it was famous.
