Jeep Commander has been in my family since new, owned by my elderly father. Oil has been changed consistently every 3000 Miles. Original HEMI engine developed a sludge problem, and was replaced under warranty at approximately 30,000 miles, so engine in this Jeep has about 95,000 miles on it. This is a good vehicle, however it is 20 years old, so bear that in mind. August of 2026, we replaced the upper and lower front control arms, end links front and rear, rear shocks and springs and front struts and springs. Shocks and struts are Bilstein. Both left and right front hubs were replaced and all 4 brake discs, all brake pads, and the right front brake caliper. Both front CV axles were replaced along with the front sway bar bushings. The Jeep was buffed and waxed at this time. Again the Jeep is 20 years old, has some minor scratches, some underbody rust that would be expected at this age, as well as a ding here and there. This Jeep had rust in the usual place - front part of rocker panels where they curve upward. This was repaired with sheet metal, all rust was trimmed away, and new metal was fastened in place. Rust was treated with POR 15, and new parts were seam sealed, painted and clear coated. Repair looks good. Exhaust sounds like it has a small leak somewhere. Good used SUV, however know that with the HEMI and full-time 4x4 it's thirsty for fuel and gets around 14-16 average economy. Tires have decent tread remaining and were installed in 2020. I have receipts for the recent repairs.
