2012 MINI Cooper S 2dr Cpe S 1.6L I-4 *direct injection*, *DOHC* with variable valve control and an *intercooled turbo*; 181 HP with a manual transmission and *premium fuel* recommended, delivering lively performance with attention to efficiency. *Brake assist* helps in urgent stops by sensing a rapid pedal application and applying extra braking force so you can reduce stopping distance when a sudden hazard appears. Steering-wheel cruise control keeps highway driving relaxed and consistent; set your speed from the wheel to cut fatigue on long trips and help maintain steady fuel usage. *Variable valve timing* adjusts the engine’s breathing for better responsiveness across RPMs, improving both throttle feel and everyday fuel economy. The compact inline four-cylinder layout balances spirited output with sensible fuel consumption and lower routine maintenance costs. A *DOHC* valvetrain supports higher engine speeds and more efficient breathing, translating into stronger performance when you want to accelerate quickly. Designed to use premium gasoline, the engine can operate at peak power and refinement for a smoother, more responsive driving experience. The intercooled turbocharger boosts low-end torque and overall acceleration while the intercooler keeps intake temperatures down for consistent power under hard use. Direct fuel injection meters fuel precisely into each cylinder, helping the engine extract more power from each drop of gasoline while reducing waste. *Keyfob window control* offers the convenience of lowering the windows remotely so the cabin is more comfortable by the time you reach the car. An *ignition immobilizer* provides an added layer of theft deterrence by ensuring the car only starts with the correct coded key. *Electronic stability control* monitors vehicle motion and intervenes quickly if traction is lost, helping you stay on course in slippery or sudden-maneuver situations. *Hill hold control* prevents rollback on inclines by holding the brakes briefly as you transition from brake to accelerator, making hill starts less stressful. A leather-wrapped steering wheel gives a premium tactile feel and puts a more comfortable, refined grip in your hands on every drive. The refrigerated/cooled compartment in the front console keeps drinks and snacks chilled for longer trips, adding a small but welcome level of convenience to daily driving. This MINI Cooper S pairs a punchy turbocharged character with nimble handling and useful daily comforts safety systems and convenience features support a confident, enjoyable drive while the responsive 1.6L powerplant rewards an engaged driver. If you’re looking for a compact coupe that blends personality, practicality, and spirited performance, this MINI is worth a closer look schedule a test drive to feel how it all comes together.
