There is something about a Porsche Boxster S that just makes you want to take the long way home. Maybe it is the sound of that flat six engine sitting right behind your seat, the way it hugs a winding country road, or the simple pleasure of dropping the top on a beautiful afternoon. Whatever the reason, Porsche certainly knew how to put a smile on a driver's face when they introduced these cars. GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this beautiful 2001 Porsche Boxster S with just 34,000 miles. Finished in the gorgeous and seldom seen Rainforest Green Metallic over a Cashmere leather interior, this Porsche has the kind of color combination that never goes out of style. The paint is in excellent condition and the car has a wonderful overall presentation. The factory 18 inch SportDesign wheels, Litronic xenon headlights, and timeless Porsche styling make this one a real head turner. Behind the seats sits Porsche's spirited 3.2 liter flat six engine, delivering 250 horsepower through the Tiptronic automatic transmission. With its mid engine balance, sharp handling, and open air driving experience, the Boxster S offers plenty of performance without requiring a racetrack to enjoy it. Whether you are heading out for Sunday breakfast, cruising along the lakeshore, or sneaking away for an afternoon drive, this little Porsche is always ready to play. This example was sold new in Fairfield, Connecticut, on December 5, 2000, and comes with some great extras that make ownership even more enjoyable. Included are three keys, the factory owner's manuals, and an upgraded stereo with Bluetooth connectivity so you can enjoy your favorite music while taking in the open road. Even better, the significant rear main seal service has already been performed, addressing an important maintenance consideration on these early water cooled Porsches. With only 34,000 miles, excellent paint, a desirable factory color combination, and important service already completed, this Boxster S checks a lot of boxes. It is comfortable enough for a weekend getaway, sporty enough to keep things interesting, and just the right size to make every curve in the road feel like an invitation. The best part about a Boxster S? You get the Porsche badge, the unmistakable flat six soundtrack, and a whole lot of driving enjoyment without spending six figures. Put the top down, find a two lane road, and remember why driving used to be something we did just for fun.
