It s believed to be the sole U.S.-delivered 1989 M491 Targa ordered in this color, with only 1 other M491-equipped 911 known to have been specified in Minerva Blue worldwide. The elusive hue gives off a particularly dramatic appearance, changing considerably according to the surrounding light.The M491 option transformed the standard Carrera visually and mechanically by borrowing key elements from the 930 Turbo such as the Turbo s wider bodywork and rear spoiler, along with broader wheels, upgraded brakes, revised suspension, and a front spoiler boasting unified fog lamps.The cabin was ordered in black leather with contrasting white piping, complementing the dark blue exterior. The factory specification also included a radio/CD player, black velour luggage-compartment trim, heavy-duty windshield-washing equipment, a rear-window wiper, and headlight washers.
