2002 Pontiac Firebird WS6 For Sale This 2002 Pontiac Firebird WS6 is a supercharged, manual-transmission example of the final model year for the fourth-generation F-body. It is a factory WS6 finished in white over a black interior, and it is equipped with T-tops that have locking storage in the rear hatch. Since 2002 was the last year of the Firebird, it has a place in the history of the nameplate as well as being a clean-looking street performance car. Under the hood is the 5.7L V8 with a supercharger, backed by a 6-speed manual transmission, and the engine has been built up in a coherent way. Hudder Performance handled the tune, and the supporting hardware includes an upgraded valve train with a camshaft and valve springs, plus an aftermarket balancer. On the exhaust side are Kooks long tube headers and a catted Y-pipe, which supports the added airflow while retaining catalytic converters. Power reaches the pavement through a Tick Performance Stage 2 clutch, 3.42 rear gears, and an SLP Posi rear end, a combination aimed at quicker acceleration and better traction off the line. For stopping and grip, the car has drilled and slotted rotors on all four corners and Nitto tires. The black interior pairs with the white exterior, and the T-tops give it open-air driving when the weather allows, with the tops stored in the locking compartment in the rear hatch so they stay secure and out of the way. For buyers who want a supercharged, manual-transmission WS6 with a tuned, well-matched drivetrain, this Firebird offers an upgraded setup in a model that marked the end of the line for the platform.
