If you've been searching for a 2004 Chevrolet SSR LS for sale in Riverside, CA, this is a rare opportunity you won't want to pass up. ALSBOU MOTORS - RIVERSIDE has a low-mileage example in head-turning Yellow one of the most sought-after colors on this iconic retro-sport truck. With just 55,175 miles on the clock, this SSR is a genuine collector-grade find that's equally at home on Sunday cruises and weekend car shows. ===== About This 2004 Chevrolet SSR LS ===== The Chevrolet SSR is one of the most distinctive vehicles General Motors ever produced a retractable hardtop convertible built on a truck platform, blending 1950s hot-rod styling with genuine V8 muscle. This 2004 example in bold Yellow is an instant attention-getter, and at just over 55,000 miles, it's been lightly used and well-preserved for its age. The SSR was only produced from 2003 to 2006, with total production numbers that make any well-kept survivor increasingly desirable. Whether you're a Chevrolet enthusiast, a collector, or simply someone who refuses to drive something ordinary, this truck delivers on every level. ===== 2004 Chevrolet SSR Performance and Engine ===== ==== 5.3L V8 Power Under the Hood ==== Under the sculpted hood sits a naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8 with overhead valves (OHV) and 16 valves, paired with a smooth automatic transmission sending power to the rear wheels. The rear-wheel-drive layout is exactly what you'd want in a retro cruiser like this it gives the SSR an authentic, old-school driving character that matches its visual personality perfectly. The automatic transmission makes it accessible and easy to drive daily, while the V8 provides that classic burble and effortless highway pull that SSR owners love. Rear-wheel drive in Southern California means you're rarely dealing with conditions that challenge it, making this combination ideal for Riverside drivers. ===== Chevrolet SSR Features and Interior ===== ==== What the LS Trim Brings to the Table ==== The 2004 SSR LS trim level represents the well-equipped entry point into the SSR lineup, featuring a retractable hardtop that folds away at the touch of a button a feature that was genuinely impressive engineering for its era. Inside, the cabin carries the retro theme with body-color accents, chrome detailing, and bucket seats designed to evoke classic American style. The truck bed, while compact, makes this a functional open-air hauler unlike anything else on the road. Power windows, power locks, and a well-appointed gauge cluster round out the interior experience. This is a vehicle where the design does the talking every detail, from the wide fenders to the swooping roofline, was crafted to make an impression. ===== Chevrolet SSR Reliability and Ownership ===== ==== What SSR Owners Say ==== The Chevrolet SSR is built on GM's S-10 truck platform with components shared across a wide range of GM vehicles, which works in your favor from a parts availability standpoint. The LS-family V8 engines used in the SSR have an excellent reputation for durability when properly maintained these engines routinely last well beyond 150,000 miles with basic upkeep. The retractable hardtop mechanism is the most common area of concern on these vehicles, so buyers should always verify smooth, complete operation of the roof cycle. At 55,175 miles, this SSR is well within the range where the powertrain and drivetrain components should have significant life remaining. As production ended in 2006, an active enthusiast community has developed around the SSR, making forums, parts, and expert knowledge readily accessible for owners. ===== Why Buy From ALSBOU MOTORS - RIVERSIDE in Riverside, CA ===== ALSBOU MOTORS - RIVERSIDE is located in Riverside, in the heart of Riverside County, serving buyers who want straightforward, honest used vehicle transactions.
