2019 Lexus RX: Choosing the Right Trim

The 2019 Lexus RX is a midsize luxury SUV that competes with the Audi Q5, Mercedes-Benz GLE, Volvo XC90, Cadillac XT5, and BMW X5. The Lexus RX seats five passengers comfortably, with plenty of room for cargo. It offers seating for up to seven passengers in a 3-row version, the RXL.

For 2019 the Lexus RX came with two different engine options. You get a 3.5-liter V6 that made as much as 295 horsepower and 267 lb-ft of torque in the RX 350 trim. In the 450h trim, you’ll find a hybrid powertrain pairing the same gasoline engine to an electric motor putting out a combined 308 hp and 247 lb-ft of torque.

The long-bodied version of the RX offers seating for up to seven people in the RX 350L or up to six in the RX 450hL. For 2019, the RX gets a Lexus’s Enform Remote (which enables smartwatch and Amazon Alexa integration) as standard equipment, but the Intuitive Parking Assist is no longer a stand-alone option.
