The Hyundai brings its 4-passenger 2022 Hyundai Veloster N back with no changes.

Yes, it’s the same coupe hatchback with that hidden, smaller third door on the passenger side. Not only is it a conversation starter, but it serves to provide easier access to the backseat.
In addition to the red accents sprinkled around the Veloster N’s exterior, there are other N-unique styling cues. They include a glossy black grille subtly displaying the N logo and functioning front-wheel air curtains.
At the back, there is a wing-type rear spoiler located above the rear window. Large, round exhaust openings flank a three-dimensional diffuser fin design.
An N-dedicated cluster gauge is located behind the N-dedicated steering wheel. It includes an LED shift-timing indicator and a 4.2-inch LCD display. A Variable LED Tachometer, with a variable red zone, changes according to engine oil temperature.
The N sport front seats provide larger side bolsters for enhanced lateral support.
The Mechanicals
Several performance components spice up the driving dynamics, including Electronic Controlled Suspension, which the driver can make stiffer or softer.
The N Corner Carving Differential (torque vectoring) allows the drive wheels to rotate at different speeds to maximize your grip and speed through corners.
Providing five individual drive modes, the N Grin Control includes Eco, Normal, Sport, N, and N Custom settings. Each mode changes the engine behavior, dampers, torque vectoring, steering, and more.
To maximize standing-start acceleration, engage the launch control. It manages the turbo to provide maximum torque while engaging the traction control for optimum slip at departure.
Under the hood is a 275-horsepower 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. It generates 260 lb-ft of torque.
Hyundai offers two transmissions. A 6-speed manual with rev-matching is standard. For a $1,500 upcharge, you can opt for the N 8-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.
With the 6-speed, government estimates put the fuel economy at 22 mpg city, 28 mpg on the highway, and 25 mpg in combined driving. Mileage drops slightly with the 8-speed automatic to 20 mpg city/27mpg highway/22 mpg combined.
2022 Hyundai Veloster N (starting at $32,500)
Among the standard content are 19-inch alloy wheels, LED exterior lights (headlights with auto on-off, taillights, and daytime running lights), heated outboard mirrors, and keyless entry with push-button start.
Also included in the base price are automatic climate control, cruise control, and alloy sport pedals.
The infotainment system provides an 8-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, an 8-speaker Infinity audio system, and a navigation system.
Other features include satellite-radio capability, HD radio, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, dual USB ports, and the Blue Link Connected Car System.
Also standard are several driver aids, such as forward-collision warning with emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, lane-following assist, blind-spot alert, rear cross-traffic alert, and driver attention warning.
Although there are a few dealer-installed accessories available, the only Veloster N option is the automatic transmission.
