The 2023 Porsche 911 is a legend among driving enthusiasts, and for a good reason. For 60 years, the 911 formula has remained true to form, as has the car’s signature shape.
Porsche now offers no fewer than 25 versions of the 911, including convertible Cabriolet, Targa, and all-wheel-drive (denoted by the number 4 after the name) iterations. Add a few limited-edition models, such as the new dirt-ready 911 Dakar, and the list of choices seems nearly endless.
Also new for 2023 is an enthusiast-oriented Porsche 911 Carrera T. Designed with the purist in mind, the T loses its rear seat, adds a 7-speed manual transmission, and pilfers the Carrera S for its adaptive suspension and torque-vectoring technology.
Also worth noting are the low-volume production models, mainly intended for track use. They include the 518-horsepower GT3 RS ($223,800) and 543-hp 911 Sport Classic ($272,300), which is a retuned 911 Turbo with rear-wheel drive (RWD) and a manual transmission.
2023 Porsche 911 Carrera: $106,100
The price listed above applies to the base Carrera RWD coupe. Pricing for the other models in the Carrera family is as follows:
- Carrera T: $116,600
- Carrera Cabriolet: $118,900
- Carrera 4: $113,400
- Carrera 4 Cabriolet: $126,200
- Carrera Targa 4: $126,200
The Carrera line features a 379-hp twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter flat 6-cylinder engine. A flat engine (sometimes called a boxer engine) has its pistons horizontally opposed rather than in a V or vertical arrangement.
The standard transmission is an 8-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic in all but the Carrera T, which gets a 7-speed manual with the 8-speed automatic optional.
The Carrera rides on staggered wheels, 19 inches in front and 20 in the rear. Porsche’s active suspension management (PASM) system comes standard, as does an auto-deploying rear spoiler, heated power side mirrors, auto on/off LED headlights, and Comfort Access keyless entry with push-button start.
The 911 isn’t big on high-tech driver-assist equipment, but it does include forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, front and rear parking sensors, and a federally required rear backup camera.
Interior amenities include partial leather-covered and heated manual Sport Seats (with power recline), cruise control, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a tilt/telescoping steering wheel with paddle shifters.
The Carrera’s infotainment system consists of a 10.9-inch color touchscreen playing host to Porsche navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, and numerous Porsche-connected services.
The standard audio consists of a 150-watt amp driving eight speakers.
Now comes the fun part. Options.
Porsche offers hundreds of possible configurations. There are standard and custom paint options, various kinds of leather and Sport-Tex seat upholstery, upgraded wheels, and even the option to pick up your car at Porsche Experience Centers in Atlanta or Los Angeles or the European factory.
Some of the more notable upgrades include 14-way power Sport Seats, 18-way adaptive Sport Seats, a carbon-fiber roof, a power sunroof (coupe), a 13-speaker Burmester audio system, adaptive cruise control, a heated steering wheel, and night vision.
Check the box for the Premium Package with Remote ParkAssist, and you’ll get adaptive headlights, a Surround View monitor, lane-change assist, ventilated front seats, power-folding side mirrors, and Remote ParkAssist.
Included with Remote ParkAssist is a feature that lets you enter or leave a parking space using a smartphone app. The system can also self-parallel or -perpendicular park.
On the performance front, buyers can add a front axle lift system (keeps the front spoiler from scraping on speed bumps or steeply angled driveways), the Sport Chrono Package, an extended range fuel tank, a performance exhaust, and ceramic-composite brakes.
With the $1,450 destination charge, the 2023 Porsche 911 Carrera comes to $107,550. On a 60-month loan at 3% financing and zero down, the monthly payment works out to approximately $1,933. See 2023 Porsche 911 Carrera models for sale near you
2023 Porsche 911 Carrera includes:
- PASM – Porsche’s active suspension management responds instantly to changes in the road surface, helping the 911 remain comfortable but planted when performing high-speed maneuvers.
- Dual-clutch transmission – The 911’s 8-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission is faster and more efficient than a manual transmission, although not always as much fun.
- Wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay – With the 911’s wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, you can keep your phone in your purse or pocket.
2023 Porsche 911 Carrera S: $123,300
The price listed above applies to the base Carrera S rear-drive coupe. Pricing for the other models in the Carrera S family is as follows:

- Carrera 4S: $130,300

Aiding in the Carrera S ability to tackle turns is a torque-vectoring rear differential, an upgraded stability control system, and bigger brakes.
Optional equipment for the Carrera S mimics that of the Carrera, except for the ability to add a 7-speed manual transmission, a 10-millimeter-lower suspension, LED-matrix headlights, and rear-axle steering.
In addition to the Burmester audio upgrade, the Carrera S also offers a less expensive 570-watt, 12-speaker Bose audio system.
With the $1,450 destination charge, the 2023 Porsche 911 Carrera comes to $124,750. On a 60-month loan at 3% financing and zero down, the monthly payment works out to about $2,242. See 2023 Porsche 911 Carrera S models for sale near you
2023 Porsche 911 GTS: $142,600
The price listed above applies to the base Carrera GTS rear-drive coupe. Pricing for the other models in the Carrera S family is as follows:

- Carrera 4 GTS: $149,900
- Carrera 4 GTS Cabriolet: $162,700
- Carrera Targa 4 GTS: $162,700

The GTS aims for the purist, offering fewer luxury options and wheel choices but more performance upgrades.
Standard equipment includes a 10-millimeter-lower suspension, launch control, Track Precision app, the Sport Chrono Package that adds a stopwatch/clock atop the dash, and multiple drive modes.
The GTS also gets a sport exhaust, adaptive headlights, Sport Seat Plus (adds power height adjustment and additional side bolstering), and deleted sound insulation to reduce weight.
Among the more interesting GTS options are weight-saving packages that delete the rear seat and insert a 3D-printed bodyform full-bucket driver’s seat in soft, medium, or hard.
With the $1,450 destination charge, the 2023 Porsche 911 GTS comes to $144,050. On a 60-month loan at 3% financing and zero down, the monthly payment works out to $2,589. See 2023 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS models for sale near you
2023 Porsche 911 GTS includes:
- 473 hp – Tweaks to the 3.0-liter engine give the GTS an edge over the Carrera S, with a 0–60 mph time of just 3.2 seconds.
- Lowered suspension – Being 10 millimeters closer to the road lessens body roll and helps the GTS corner with added confidence.
- Sport Chrono Package – Replacing the analog dash clock is a digital and analog chronograph. It serves as a stopwatch when running laps but can be configured like a clock for everyday driving. The package also contains additional drive modes such as Sport Plus and Sport Response, active driveline mounts, launch control, and a racetrack app.
2023 Porsche 911 Edition 50 Years Porsche Design: $198,250 (price includes $12,050 equipment fee)
This special 911 commemorates 50 years of Porsche Design, a luxury manufacturer of Porsche accessories.
Based on the Targa 4 GTS, this limited-run model features black paint, gloss-black brake calipers, 20-inch front and 21-inch rear Turbo S wheels, and 18-way Adaptive Sport Seats Plus.
As Porsche plans only 750 of these cars for the U.S. market, odds are all have already sold out.
With the $1,450 destination charge, the 2023 Porsche 911 Edition 50 Years Porsche Design comes to $199,700. On a 60-month loan at 3% financing and zero down, the monthly payment works out to about $3,588. See 2023 Porsche 911 Edition 50 Years Porsche Design models for sale near you
2023 Porsche 911 Turbo: $182,900 (Coupe), $195,700 (Cabriolet)
The Turbo ups the 911’s performance quotient with a 572-hp 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged flat-6, standard all-wheel drive (AWD), and several optional performance upgrades from the Carrera S and GTS.
Standard equipment for the Turbo includes rear-axle steering, launch control, Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus, and an 8-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The Turbo features bigger brakes, a performance exhaust, Dynamic engine mounts, the Sport Chrono Package, and wide rear fenders with integrated air ducts.
Active Aerodynamics brings an auto-deploying front spoiler and rear wing.
The Turbo’s cabin adds 14-way power Sport Seats with memory, leather upholstery, a multifunction GT Sport steering wheel, and the Bose audio system.
One noteworthy option for the Turbo is full-bucket seats with rear-seat delete.
With the $1,450 destination charge, the 2023 Porsche 911 Turbo comes to $184,350. On a 60-month loan at 3% financing and zero down, the monthly payment works out to $3,313. See 2023 Porsche 911 Turbo models for sale near you
2023 Porsche 911 Turbo includes:
- 3.8-liter engine – This larger engine develops an impressive 572 hp, giving the 911 Turbo a 0–60 mph time of just 2.7 seconds.
- Rear-axle steering – By turning the rear wheels in the opposite direction of the front wheels at low speeds, the Turbo delivers more precise turn-in. At higher speeds, the rear wheels point in the same direction as the front wheels, improving stability in sweeping bends.
- Dynamic engine mounts – Magnetic fluid-filled engine mounts stiffen as the car enters a curve, reducing the outward force generated by the engine’s mass.
2023 Porsche 911 Turbo S: $216,100 (Coupe), $228,900 (Cabriolet)
The Turbo S builds off the Turbo, with a 640-hp 3.8-liter engine and a 2.6-second 0–60 mph time.
The Turbo S gets more high-tech performance features, including 10-piston front brake calipers, ceramic brakes, and Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) adaptive suspension.

2023 Porsche 911 GT3: $169,700
The GT3 is one of four track-inspired 911 models. It features a 502-hp naturally aspirated 4.0-liter engine, a short-geared 7-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission, and RWD with rear-axle steering.
Exterior styling elements that differ from the other 911 models include a carbon-fiber hood with vents, lightweight forged GT3 alloy wheels, and a fixed rear wing.
Regarding standard equipment, the GT3 is similar to the Carrera S, with LED headlights, 4-way Sport Seats Plus front seats, and the standard Porsche audio system.
The GT3 loses forward collision warning and emergency braking, but both get added back when ordering the Touring Package, which also includes a 6-speed manual transmission at no extra cost.
Some options include 3D-printed bodyform seats (Touring Package only), carbon-ceramic brakes, rear parking sensors, traffic sign recognition, and the Bose sound system.
With the $1,450 destination charge, the 2023 Porsche 911 GT3 comes to $171,150. On a 60-month loan at 3% financing and zero down, the monthly payment works out to $3,075. See 2023 Porsche 911 GT3 models for sale near you
2023 Porsche 911 GT3 includes:
- 4.0-liter engine – No turbos here, just good old-fashioned Porsche engineering. While not the most powerful engine in the bunch, its low-end torque and sweet exhaust note go a long way toward satisfying purists.
- 6-speed manual – A simple transmission that connects the driver with the car like no paddle-shifting automatic can.
- Available 3D-printed seats – Designed to hold your body, these single-piece seats can be tailored to be soft, medium, or hard.
