The 2024 Chevrolet Equinox presents compact SUV buyers with several choices. The value-oriented LS and LT trims make it easy to get what you want reasonably priced, while the sporty RT provides a more aggressive look but no additional power. Those looking for all the bells and whistles will like what the Premier offers.
Fierce competition from newer compact SUV models like the Honda CR-V, Hyundai Tucson, Subaru Forester, and Nissan Rogue gives the Equinox a run for its money. Many of the Equinox competitors offer hybrid engine options, something we’ve yet to see from Chevy, although later this year, an all-electric Equinox EV debuts.
All Equinox trims get along with a 175-horsepower 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive (FWD) comes standard, with all-wheel drive (AWD) optional.

2024 Chevrolet Equinox LS: $26,600 (FWD), $28,200 (AWD)
The base LS provides a nice assortment of safety and convenience features at a price that undercuts some newer rivals.
Starting with the exterior, you’ll find automatic on/off LED headlights, heated power side mirrors, 17-inch alloy wheels, an acoustic-laminated windshield, and a rear wiper/washer.
