Kia Sorento

Overview

The Kia Sorento is a midsize crossover SUV that’s been on the market since 2003. It’s known as being practical for families and daily driving, offering 3-row seating that can carry up to seven people, a range of engine options, and both front-wheel drive (FWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) configurations depending on trim and drivetrain choice. Base models typically use a 191-horsepower 4-cylinder engine, with an available turbocharged engine with about 281 hp. Both engines pair with an 8-speed automatic transmission, with a fuel economy up to 26 mpg. Cargo space behind all seats is a good size for its class, around 75.5 cubic feet with rear seats folded on some model years. Starting in 2021, the Sorento became available in hybrid and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) versions.
