The Kia Sportage is a compact crossover SUV that blends everyday practicality, SUV versatility, and modern tech, positioning it as one of Kia’s most popular models in its lineup and one of the oldest continuously produced SUVs in the brand’s lineup. The Sportage’s design provides practical cargo space and seating for up to five passengers, making it versatile for daily use, errands, and road trips. Front-wheel drive (FWD) is standard with the Sportage, with all-wheel drive (AWD) as an option. Most Sportage trims use a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder gasoline engine, typically paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Its fuel economy is estimated as high as 28 mpg combined, depending on the trim and configuration. It includes standard and optional features, also depending on trim, such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, adaptive cruise control, heated seats and panoramic sunroof. Starting with the 2023 model year Kia added hybrid and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) versions.
