What to Know About the Hyundai Ioniq 5

With few exceptions, the Ioniq 5 has earned high marks from reviewers and owners alike. Hyundai equips an 800-volt electrical architecture, providing exceptional charging speeds, and it offers a range of standard and available features. The vehicle consistently receives positive reviews for its user-friendly tech and safety features. Starting in 2025, every new Ioniq 5 leaves the factory with an NACS charging port.

The Ioniq 5 Can Access Tesla Superchargers

Prior to the 2025 model year, Ioniq 5 owners could access Tesla Superchargers (NACS ports) using an adapter, but all vehicles produced after 2024 come with an NACS port built in. While the newer models require an adapter to charge at non-Tesla locations, the addition of a native NACS port provides Ioniq 5 owners with a significantly larger selection of charging options.
