2024 Toyota Tundra 1794 Edition vs. 1794 Limited Edition Features

Are you curious about the Toyota Tundra 1794 Edition? Did you know that for 2024, there are two 1794 Editions? Let’s get into what the 1794 Edition models are about and what each one has to offer.

You might be wondering why it’s called the 1794 Edition. Toyota builds the full-size Tundra pickup at its plant in San Antonio, Texas. Toyota bought the parcel of land the plant was built on from what may be the oldest working cattle ranch in America. The ranch was established in 1794 by Spanish colonist Juan Ignacio de Casanova.

Toyota recently introduced the 1794 Limited Edition for 2024. The Toyota Tundra 1794 Edition continues to be a regular part of the Tundra lineup, as it has since 2014, but only 1,500 of the 1794 Limited Edition will be produced.

Cab and Bed Options:

The 1794 Edition and 1794 Limited Edition are both CrewMax (crew cab) models that can seat five and come with a 5.5-foot bed. If you want a 6.5-foot bed, it’s an option with the 1794 but not the 1794 Limited.

Engine and Performance:

The 1794 Edition is powered by a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 with 389 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque. Its maximum towing capacity is 11,310 pounds (rear-wheel drive) or 11,050 pounds (4-wheel drive). The hybrid powertrain is a $3,520 option. RWD is standard, and 4WD is an available option.

The Toyota Tundra 1794 Limited Edition comes standard with a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 hybrid. It has 437 hp and 583 lb-ft of torque. Maximum towing capacity is 11,020 pounds. The 1794 Limited Edition is solely a 4WD hybrid.

Both powertrains use a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Suspension:

With the Tundra 1794 Edition, adaptive variable suspension and air suspension with load leveling are optional.

The 1794 Limited Edition comes standard with adaptive variable suspension and air suspension with load leveling. It also has 2.5-inch Fox internal bypass shocks, a 1.1-inch lift, and an electronically controlled locking rear differential. It also comes with Multi-Terrain Select with Crawl Control (unavailable on the regular 1794).

Interior Styling and Features:

Since the 1794 name is a tribute to a Texas ranch, it should come as no surprise that the interiors of the 1794 trims have plenty of rugged Western flair.

The 1794 Edition uses either Saddle Brown or Rich Cream leather on the seats and throughout the cab. It uses American Walnut woodgrain accents.

The 1794 Limited Edition has a Rustic Cedar leather interior designed by Saddleback Leather Company. It also uses American Walnut woodgrain trim. On the right side of the dashboard, there is an embossed limited edition logo that shows which number that truck is of the 1,500 produced. There are saddlebag-style pockets on the front seatbacks and elegant leather details throughout the interior.

As a special touch, the 1794 Limited Edition also comes with a Saddleback Leather overnight bag, tool roll, portfolio for owner’s manuals, key glove, and a small pouch.

Both trims have heated and ventilated front and rear seats and 10-way power-adjustable front seats. They also have a power tilt and slide panoramic roof and a power rear window. Audio, video, and navigation are controlled through a 14-inch screen, and both trims have 12-speaker JBL audio.

The 1794 Limited comes with a 10-inch head-up display, an option in the 1794.

Exterior Styling:

The 1794 has 20-inch machined finish alloy wheels. Twenty-inch TRD wheels are an option for the 1794.

The 1794 Limited uses a dark chrome grille, blacked-out details, and a unique stamping on the tailgate. In addition, the 1794 Limited rides on 20-inch TRD Off-Road matte black alloy wheels with “TOYOTA” center caps.

The 1794 Limited comes with power running boards and a bed step, both optional on the 1794.

There are more color choices for the 1794 Edition. It is available in eight exterior colors and two interior colors.

The 1794 is available in four exterior colors and one interior color.

Safety:

Both come standard with the Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 suite of advanced safety features. That includes a pre-collision system with pedestrian protection, lane departure alert with steering assist, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, and more. Both trim levels also come with a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert. This system also includes a feature that accounts for your trailer when merging into traffic.
