2019 Honda HR-V Overview - Honda has been building small SUVs for the Japanese market for decades, but the HR-V arrived in America for the 2016 model year as part of a wave of subcompact crossovers. The HR-V is built on the same platform as the subcompact Honda Fit passenger car, but unlike the Fit, the HR-V is available with all-wheel drive. The 2019 HR-V seats up to five passengers in two rows of seats and offers up to 58.8 cubic feet of cargo capacity, with the rear seats folded down. On most HR-V trims, front-wheel drive is standard, while all-wheel drive (AWD) is optional at an original cost of $1,400. AWD is standard equipment on the top 2019 HR-V Touring trim.
