Additionally, Nissan offers Rogue with a gasoline-fueled engine or a hybrid (HEV) system in the SV and SL. Both powertrains include an automatic transmission to deliver torque for front-wheel drive (FWD) or all-wheel drive (AWD). AWD was a $1,350 upcharge available across the trim-level lineup. The gasoline-fueled engine is a 170-horsepower 2.5-liter 4-cylinder. Its government-estimated combined city and highway fuel economy is 29 mpg with FWD. Opting for AWD knocks that number down to 27 mpg. Powering the HEV is a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine paired with a 30 kW electric motor. Together they generate 175 hp. The combined mileage with FWD is 34 mpg. For AWD, it’s 33 mpg.
