My Favorite 2024 Nissan Rogue Features

The Nissan Rogue gets a few updates for 2024. I’ve owned a Nissan Rogue and found it the best of all those small-ish SUVs. That was a few years ago, and Honda has been upping the CR-V’s game little by little. But the Rogue gets some compelling updates for 2024, most having to do with in-car tech. Here are my favorite features of the new 2024 Nissan Rogue:
Google Built-in
This is pretty much what it sounds like. It’s Google, but it’s built into the car – the Nissan Rogue now has it, as do vehicles from Honda, Chevrolet, and Volvo. If you’re shopping for a new car, you may be familiar with Apple CarPlay as well as Android Auto. The confusing part is that most vehicles with Google Built-in also continue to have the option of Android Auto or Apple Car Play — often with a wired connection. But Google Built-in isn’t just an operating system powered by your phone. It takes the place of native in-car systems like navigation, phone book, music player, etc. With Google Built-in, those systems are not standalone software developed by the automaker. Since Google developed the platform, it would work the same no matter what car you were in, so long as it has the Google Built-in feature. Google built-in can search for destinations, play songs, get weather info and more. Remember, this is not the same thing as Android Auto. You do not need a phone connected by a cable or Bluetooth (or even have a phone at all) to use Google Built-in features. Google Built-in comes on the Rogue SL and Platinum versions, including a 12-inch touchscreen.
SiriusXM 360L
This is a lot like SiriusXM radio but handles streaming channels, too. Here are some benefits of SiriusXM 360L, according to Nissan:
- Pandora stations: Create ad-free Pandora stations based on artists you like. You can customize your listening experience by giving thumbs up or down to tunes.
- Sports play-by-play: Enhanced sports play-by-play makes it easier to find your favorite team.
- Profiles: Create up to five profiles in your Nissan vehicle so each person has a listener profile. This prevents the system from recommending music based on someone else’s preferences.
- Streaming login: Set up your streaming login to begin listening to your favorite channels and shows on your phone, computer, or connected device
Fuel Economy
Thanks to a turbocharged 1.5-liter, 3-cylinder engine, the 2024 Rogue earns an EPA estimate of up to 30 mpg in city driving and 37 mpg on the highway. That’s pretty good for a non-hybrid gasoline-powered SUV. This 1.5-liter engine makes decent power but it’s not sporty or quick or anything like that.
New Look
The most obvious change on the outside is the larger grille. Nissan calls their overall front grille “V-Motion” and that’s a feature/design cue seen on all new Nissan vehicles. The overall size is essentially the same – the Rogue is a tiny bit longer than the Toyota RAV4. New wheels are part of the update too. This is most noticeable on the top-of-the-line Platinum trim. At the rear of the Rogue, the taillights get a slight modification as well. Taillights and brake lights are now LED with the amber-colored turn indicators still using the more traditional type of light blub. Of course, the 2024 Nissan Rogue has the updated “Nissan” logo, which looks more modern and upscale than the previous logo. Another very subtle change at the back of the Rogue is the lettering. The letters that make up the word “Rogue,” “Platinum” or “SL”, as well as the all-wheel drive designation “AWD” now have a matte finish rather than just bright, shiny chrome. However, there is a single chrome strip on the lower part of the bumper. Most of these changes are mild or subtle but are just enough to make the Rogue look a little classier. Related:
