Like the A7 was for 2019, the S7 is all-new for 2020. Highlights include a new twin-turbo V6 engine, a new dual-touchscreen infotainment system, next-gen active safety features and available 4-wheel steering. See the 2020 Audi S7 models for sale near you
Which S7 is the Best?
The A7 and S7 are virtually identical to the A6 and S6 except for in two key areas: exterior styling and rear trunk design. The A7 and S7 make a statement with their low-slung exterior shape and aggressive body lines, while their hatchback design means you can fit more into the rear cargo hold. As far as the S7 goes, it offers big performance with a big price tag to match. Few buyers will get out of the driver's seat of an S7 wanting more, but if you find yourself among that group, know that a new top-spec RS 7 is on the way. As far as trim levels go for the S7, if you're already spending big money on a performance sedan, we'd have a hard time not spending an additional $5,600 for the top-spec Prestige model, which offers most of the features that are optional on the Premium Plus along with some other luxuries like a head-up display. Every A7 comes standard with automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, automatic high beams and front and rear parking sensors. On Premium Plus models, an available Driver Assistance package brings adaptive cruise control with traffic jam assist and predictive efficiency, lane-keeping assist, intersection assist and traffic sign recognition. Audi side assist with pre-sense rear, rear cross-traffic alert and vehicle exit warning is offered as a standalone option. All of this comes standard on the top-spec Prestige model.
Six airbags come standard. Rear side airbags, oddly, are a $350 option.
In crash testing conducted by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, the redesigned A7 earns top marks for its performance in all crashworthiness categories, earning it a Top Safety Pick+ designation. The A7's lone blemish was a lackluster score in the relatively new headlight category, and what's most noteworthy here is that the new HD Matrix-design LED headlights, which come standard on the S7, earned the worst scores out of the A7's three different available headlight designs. Despite this odd shortcoming, though, the redesigned A7 and S7 are still among the safest vehicles on the road.

2020 Mercedes AMG CLS 53 Coupe -- The S7's closest competitor. The CLS is another 4-door vehicle that's marketed as a coupe due to its curvy styling. Whatever you want to call it, though, the CLS is a strikingly beautiful vehicle, just like the S7. The CLS 53 makes 429 hp from a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline 6.
