How Much Does a 2022 BMW M850i xDrive Cost?
The 2021 BMW 8 Series comes in 2-door coupe, convertible and 4-door Gran Coupe styles, with a choice of 6-cylinder or 8-cylinder engines. M850i xDrive coupe ($112,895) employs the V8 engine, plus 20-in alloy wheels, M Sport brakes, adaptive M suspension with active anti-roll bars, M Sport differential, heated/ventilated/16-way power-adjustable front sport seats, rear-wheel steering, a rear spoiler and extra aerodynamic additions. The
M850i xDrive convertible ($122,395) has those same variations as the 840i convertible. Likewise, the
M850i xDrive Gran Coupe ($109,895) has the same differences as the 840i Gran Coupe. Among the many options is a Driving Assistance Package bringing blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning, a self-parking feature for parallel and perpendicular spaces, drive recorder, and the ability to check on the car remotely using a smartphone. The Driving Assistance Professional Package adds
adaptive cruise control with stop/go and Traffic Jam Assistant for partially autonomous driving, front/
rear cross-traffic alert, and evasive steering assistance. Other extras include glass controls, more comfortable front seats, and a 16-speaker/1,400-watt Bowers & Wilkins surround-sound system. Rear-drive versions of the 2021 8 Series are eligible for rear-wheel steering.
M850i versions of the coupe and Gran Coupe may be ordered with a lightweight M Carbon roof (made from carbon fiber reinforced plastic), extra cooling and high-performance tires. The M850i convertible offers neck-warming vents in the front seats. The
2021 M8 Gran Coupe ($130,995) has the carbon fiber roof as standard, along with the drive recorder, M Sport seats, gesture control and carbon fiber interior accents. Specific options for the M8 Gran Coupe include an M Driver’s package that pairs a day’s tuition in high-performance driving with a raised top speed of 190 mph. Trunk space for the 8 Series coupe is a useful 14.8 cu ft. The Gran Coupe isn’t much better with its 15.5 cu ft, but it does have split/folding rear seats. Naturally, the convertible has the smallest trunk, at 12.4 cu ft.
