While it shares its name with the gas-powered Blazer, the Blazer EV is an entirely different animal. The compact Blazer EV sits on an entirely different platform shared with other GM electric vehicles, like the Cadillac Lyriq and Chevrolet Equinox EV. The Blazer EV can fit up to five passengers, travel up to 324 miles on a charge, dash to 60 mph in a scant six seconds, and comes loaded with GM’s best high-tech systems.
Chevrolet Blazer EV Generations
Chevrolet Blazer EV (1st Generation: 2024 - Current)
The first-generation Chevy Blazer EV checks all the right boxes. Its sleek and modern styling, spacious and inviting interior, and a technology roster loaded with GM’s best features. Upon its launch, the Blazer EV offers two trims: RS and LT. The RS provides the option of rear-wheel drive (RWD), which also comes with a larger battery and the best range (324 miles). All-wheel drive (AWD) brings a reduced battery pack, shorter range (279 miles), quicker acceleration, and better traction. Using a DC fast charging station, the Blazer EV can regain 78 miles of range in about 10 minutes. Standard features include an 11-inch digital instrument cluster and a massive 17-inch touchscreen hosting Google built-in. The system works well but negates Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. Cutting-edge features include adaptive cruise control, intersection assist, a 360-degree camera, a rear camera mirror, a head-up display, and automatic parking assist.
Model Updates: For 2025, changes are primarily cosmetic. They include new wheel designs and an available painted roof on the LT trim.
