How Much Does a 2022 Subaru WRX Cost?
There are five different versions of the WRX and the WRX STI: WRX, WRX Premium, WRX Limited, WRX STI and WRX STI Limited. Standard equipment on the base WRX ($28,420) is impressive. Useful features include remote keyless entry, automatic climate control, multi-mode vehicle dynamics control, dual USB ports, rear vision camera and power door locks, side mirrors and windows. The standard Starlink multimedia system features a 6.5-inch high-resolution touchscreen, smartphone integration with Apple CarPlay,, Android Auto and Bluetooth hands-free phone connectivity and audio streaming. The WRX Premium ($30,970 manual, $32,870 CVT automatic) adds keyless access with push-button start, 18-inch alloy wheels and an all-weather package that includes heated front seats and windshield wiper de-icer, fog lights and power moonroof. On the Premium model, the Starlink system is upgraded to a 7-in touchscreen and voice activated controls for phone. Both the 2021 WRX Premium and Limited with the optional CVT transmission feature Subaru’s EyeSight driver assist technology. This system includes pre-collision brake assist, pre-Collision throttle management, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist and lane departure prevention. With so much safety technology on hand, it would seem hard to imagine having an accident. On top of the Premium model’s content, the WRX Limited ($33,020 manual, $34,920 CVT automatic) adds a 10-way power driver’s seat with power lumbar adjustment, steering responsive LED headlights (low and high beam) and LED fog lights. A $2100 option package on the WRX Limited includes the Harman Kardon speaker system, blind-spot detection with lane change assist and rear cross-traffic alert. When ordered in conjunction with the CVT transmission, the option package also adds reverse automatic braking and high beam assist. The package price is $2400. Moving on to the WRX STI, for 2021 Subaru again offers two trims, base and Limited ($38,170 and $42,870 respectively). As well as all the equipment found in the regular WRX, the base STI model adds 19-in aluminum alloy wheels, 245/35 R19 summer performance tires and Brembo performance brakes using 6-piston front calipers and dual-piston rear calipers. The STI interior is dressed up in black Ultrasuede upholstery, accented by red and black leather bolsters with red stitching for front and rear seats. The flat-bottom leather-wrapped steering wheel integrates control switches for audio, cruise control and Bluetooth. Recaro front seats with 8-way power driver’s seat can be added as an option for $2,250. As icing on the cake, the STI Limited version includes the Recaro front seats with 8-way power driver’s seat, 7-in Starlink navigation system, Harman Kardon audio system, plus blind-spot detection with lane-change assist and rear cross-traffic alert. There is also a power moonroof, plus a low-profile lip trunk spoiler is available at no cost, replacing the high-profile wing.
