Used Subaru WRX for Sale in Ames, IA - Autotrader

The Subaru WRX is an attainable sport compact car rooted in rally racing. Effectively a performance-tuned version of the Subaru Impreza sedan, the WRX benefits from two Subaru signatures: standard <a href="https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/awd-4wd/subaru/wrx" target="_blank">all-wheel drive (AWD)</a> and a flat-4 engine. The AWD system improves traction and acceleration in a variety of road conditions, and the low-profile, horizontally oriented “boxer” engine lowers the car’s center of gravity while also giving it a distinctive exhaust note. On top of all that, it’s rather practical and boasts excellent resale value. We understand why our editors ranked the WRX one of the best used sedans for under $30,000. Some of the more popular WRX trims include the <a href="https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/subaru/wrx/gt" target="_blank">GT</a>, <a href="https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/subaru/wrx/limited" target="_blank">Limited</a>, <a href="https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/subaru/wrx/premium" target="_blank">Premium</a>, <a href="https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/subaru/wrx/sti" target="_blank">STI</a>, <a href="https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/subaru/wrx/sti-limited" target="_blank">STI Limited</a>, and <a href="https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/subaru/wrx/sti-type-ra" target="_blank">STI Type RA</a> trims. 2015 was the first model year of the WRX.
