How Much Does a 2022 Volvo V90 Cost?

The 2021 Volvo V90 Cross Country comes in one trim. The regular 2021 V90 is available in R-Design or Inscription versions, with a choice of drivetrains. The V90 Cross Country T6 AWD ($55,895) has 19-in alloy wheels, panoramic moonroof with a powered shade, keyless entry/ignition, automatic on/off adaptive LED headlights with automatic high beams and high-pressure washers, rain-sensing wipers/wiper blades with integrated washers, powered liftgate, 12.3-inch digital driver information display, selectable driving modes, self-dimming mirrors, universal garage door opener, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated/leather-wrapped steering wheel, leather upholstery, heated/10-way power-adjustable front seats with drivers-side memory settings, power-folding rear headrests, automatic cargo cover, front/rear parking sensors, black walnut inlays, wireless charging, two USB-A ports up front, two USB-C ports in the rear, 9-inch infotainment touchscreen, Bluetooth, navigation, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone integration, satellite radio, and a Harman Kardon audio system. There’s also a generous amount of advanced safety features that are detailed in the Safety section below. The V90 Cross Country is eligible for a Lounge Package that brings Nappa leather upholstery with a tailored dashboard and upper door panels, ventilated/massaging front seats with power-adjustable side support, and lower cushion extension, memory settings for the front passenger, quad-zone automatic climate control, and rear shades. The regular V90 R-Design T5 ($52,795) has its own exterior treatment that includes gloss-black window surrounds and side mirror housings, plus trim-specific 19-inch alloy wheels. The cabin has Nubuck/Nappa leather upholstery, sport front seats, rear shades, and quad-zone automatic climate control. It doesn’t have the heated steering wheel, but otherwise, this trim mirrors the Cross Country version. The regular V90 Inscription T5 ($52,795) swaps in perforated Nappa leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, and its own design of 19-inch alloy wheels. The V90 R-Design T6 ($58,795) and V90 Inscription T6 ($58,795) have the more powerful engine and all-wheel drive. All versions of the 2021 V90 may be ordered with a Climate Package that adds heated wiper blades, heated outboard rear seats, and (where it’s not standard) a heated steering wheel. An Advanced Package brings a head-up display and a 360-degree camera system. Individual options include an adaptive air suspension, rear outboard child booster seats (not available with heating), 20-inch alloy wheels, parking assistance, an upgraded cabin air quality system, and a Bowers & Wilkins 1,400-watt/19-speaker audio system. Behind the rear seats is 33.9 cubic feet of cargo capacity, expanding to 53.9 when those rear seats are folded down. That’s more luggage area than a full-size sedan, but not as good as the 35 and 64 cubic feet of the new-for-2021 Mercedes-Benz E 450 4Matic All-Terrain. Maximum towing capacity is 3,500 pounds. Safety Standard safety features include anti-lock disc brakes, traction/ stability control, active front head restraints, hill descent control (with AWD), and a full complement of airbags. There are also plenty of advanced driver aids, including blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert/active steering assistance/automatic emergency braking, low-speed/high-speed collision avoidance systems with pedestrian/cyclist/large animal detection/automatic emergency braking, post-collision braking, oncoming lane mitigation, lane departure warning/lane-keeping assistance, run-off road mitigation and protection, road sign recognition, driver drowsiness monitoring, slippery road/hazard-light alert, and a Pilot Assist. This latter item is adaptive cruise control with extra abilities that add up to a partially autonomous driving system. Drivers must still pay attention to the road, however. This is no replacement for attentive driving. To date, the V90/V90 Cross Country wagons have not been crash-tested by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), or the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). But safety shouldn’t be an issue. This is a product of Volvo, a company that has made a name for itself by emphasizing the safety of its customers and their surroundings. The closely related S90 sedan has been put through the IIHS program and earned top scores in all the major crashworthiness categories.
