If you love the performance and utility of the Cayenne SUV but think its styling isn’t quite up to Porsche standards, check out the Cayenne Coupe. Essentially the same vehicle under the skin, the Cayenne Coupe’s sleek body sacrifices some interior room in the name of racy good looks, but who needs space for three in the back seat, anyway?
Like its Cayenne SUV counterpart, the Cayenne Coupe offers numerous trim configurations, including turbocharged and hybrid models. Regardless of trim, the Cayenne Coupe delivers scintillating performance, just in varying degrees.
Tack on an optional equipment list nearly as long as “War and Peace,” and you’ll find the 2023 Porsche Cayenne Coupe offers far more customization than competitors like the Audi Q8, Jaguar F-Pace, or BMW X5, though you might come close with the Bentley Bentayga.
Engine horsepower varies by trim, ranging from 335 hp in the base model to 670 hp in the Turbo S E-Hybrid. All-wheel drive (AWD) is standard, as is an 8-speed Tiptronic S automatic transmission.
2023 Porsche Cayenne Coupe: $80,700
The Cayenne Coupe employs a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 good for 335 hp. Along with its standard AWD, the Coupe includes 20-inch alloy wheels, Porsche 4D Chassis Control, and steel springs with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) shocks.
A quick walk around the exterior reveals heated power side mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, a power tailgate, a fixed panoramic roof, and an adaptive rear spoiler with a fixed upper wing. LED headlights and taillights are also standard, as are front and rear parking sensors.
The Cayenne Coupe’s interior is designed with performance driving in mind, equipped with 8-way power Sport seats, 40/20/40-split folding rear seats (creating a comfortable 2-person seating layout), partial leather upholstery, and a tilt/telescoping multifunction steering wheel with paddle shifters.
The Sport Chrono Package comes standard, adding a Sport Plus mode, Sport Response button, and revised settings for the stability control when set to Sport mode.
Cayenne amenities include dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, an analog dashboard clock, LED interior lighting, and four USB-C charge ports.
The audio system comprises a 150-watt 10-speaker sound system and a 12-inch infotainment touchscreen with access to navigation, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, Porsche Connect services, and a Wi-Fi hot spot.
Oddly, where every other competitor makes important driver-assist system standard, Porsche leaves it up to the individual. The only standard driver aid is automatic emergency braking with cyclist and pedestrian detection. Features such as lane-departure warning, a blind-spot monitor, rear cross-traffic detection, adaptive headlights, lane-keeping assists, and automatic high beams are all optional.
Speaking of optional, Porsche provides a smorgasbord of upgrades, so many that it may be possible to build a one-of-a-kind Cayenne Coupe!
Through the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur program, customers can choose from a vast catalog of interior colors, upholstery, and interior accents in any combination. Beyond its numerous paint, interior fabric, and color choices, the Cayenne Coupe also offers 17 wheel options.
Some of the more interesting packages include the Lightweight Sport Package, which adds unique styling, 22-inch wheels, and a carbon fiber roof.
The Assistance Package brings the Night Vision infrared monitor, a 360-degree Surround View Monitor, a head-up display, and Porsche adaptive cruise control with InnoDrive, which uses onboard navigation to anticipate changing road features.
The Performance Package adds rear-axle steering, a sport exhaust, and an adaptive air suspension. The Off-Road Package adds skid plate protection for the engine and rear axle, rock rails, and displays for gradient, tilt, and steering angles. Remote Park Assist can automatically park the vehicle in parallel or perpendicular fashion.
Some options we think belong in a Porsche include a proximity remote key fob, motion-activated power liftgate, 4-zone automatic climate control, soft-close doors, and a choice of 14-way Comfort or 18-way Sport Plus front seats.
Also available is a heated windshield, vented and massaging front seats, heated rear seats, power side window sunshades, a wireless charging pad, a back seat entertainment system, and a 1,455-watt 21-speaker Burmester 3D Sound System.
With the $1,450 delivery charge, the 2023 Porsche Cayenne Coupe costs $82,150. On a 60-month loan at 3% financing and zero down, the monthly payment comes to approximately $1,476. See 2023 Porsche Cayenne Coupe models for sale near you

With the plug-in hybrid system, you can charge the Cayenne Coupe at home and drive for short distances (about 17 miles) solely on electric power at speeds up to 84 mph.
Along with a 240-volt NEMA 6-50 plug and one 120-volt type B plug, the E-Hybrid includes an onboard 3.6-kW charger with the option to upgrade to 7.2 kW.
Other features unique to the hybrid include Acid Green instrument cluster needles and an auxiliary cabin air conditioner for use while the Cayenne is charging.

The Cayenne S Coupe adds 20-inch Cayenne Sport wheels and a few additional styling tweaks, but not much else to distinguish it from the Cayenne Coupe.
However, move to the optional equipment list, and you’ll find more performance packages and equipment.
The Premium Package Plus, for example, brings 14-way power seats with memory, LED Matrix Design headlights, Lane Change Assist, a Bose sound system, 4-zone climate control, heated and ventilated front seats, proximity key entry, heated rear seats, and ambient lighting.
Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus varies torque distribution to the rear wheels, helping the Cayenne S Coupe better negotiate tight turns at high speed.

2023 Porsche Cayenne GTS Coupe: $115,800
At this point, the Cayenne Coupe simply adds more power and performance — and more digits to its price.

- Twin-turbocharged V8 – Nothing quite sounds like a Porsche V8, a choice made even more delightful by the abundant horsepower and torque.

Using the GTS’s V8, the Turbo Coupe squeezes out 541 hp and a 3.7-second 0-60 mph time.

2023 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid Coupe: $173,800
Building off the Turbo Coupe, the S E-Hybrid Coupe is the most powerful trim in the lineup, though not the most expensive.

Compared to the Turbo Coupe, the Turbo GT sits 17 millimeters lower, includes rear-axle steering, and rides on 22-inch GT Design wheels wrapped in Ultra High Performance summer tires. Standard fare includes the Sport Chrono Package with Sport Response Button in red, Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control, Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus, and a lightweight titanium sport exhaust.
