The Jaguar I-Pace was ahead of the curve when it arrived for 2019. The field of electric luxury SUVs has been growing since then, but this Jaguar still stands out as a unique offering in a burgeoning segment. Its standard dual-motor electric powertrain provides the performance you want in a Jaguar and the range you need in an EV. It also has a generous list of standard luxury and tech features befitting a modern premium vehicle in this price range.
The Jaguar I-Pace primarily competes with the Cadillac Lyriq, Mercedes-EQ EQE SUV, BMW iX, and Audi Q8 e-tron.
What’s New:
The front end of the Jaguar I-Pace is tweaked for 2024 with a solid “grille” panel and a standard Black Exterior Pack. This year also brings two new paint colors (Eiger Grey and Carpathian Grey), plus a heated steering wheel as standard and an Ebony suede cloth headliner.
Our Recommendation:
The sole trim of the I-Pace is pricey but very well-equipped. It satisfies most electric luxury SUV shoppers and doesn’t require many options.

Stay away from the I-Pace. There is a reason why they are discontinuing the I-Pace – they can’t figure out how to stop them from burning to the ground. Despite the recalls, on July 4, 2024, my 2019 First Edition I-Pace went up in flames. So far no one from Jaguar has responded to my notice to them of the car catching fire while charging. As far as I am concerned, Jaguar does not deserve another chance and should just fold its tent and stop building any Jaguars.
