2024 Jeep Grand Wagoneer: Choosing the Right Trim

Jeep has positioned Wagoneer as its own line of premium vehicles separate from the Jeep brand. And parent company Stellantis builds the Grand Wagoneer to challenge luxury makes like the Cadillac Escalade, Land Rover Range Rover, Lincoln Navigator, and Lexus LX.

The Grand Wagoneer and its larger twin, the Grand Wagoneer L (which is 12 inches longer, with a wheelbase stretched seven inches), are off to a pretty good start, with three well-equipped trims and several optional upgrades to rival the world’s most sophisticated luxury SUVs.

All Grand Wagoneer models employ a powerful twin-turbocharged inline-6 engine producing 510 horsepower. When properly equipped, they can tow nearly 10,000 pounds.

Jeep’s Quadra-Drive II all-wheel-drive (AWD) comes standard, as does the Quadra-Lift air suspension, making this the most technically advanced full-size Jeep ever offered.

What’s New:

Jeep no longer offers the 6.4-liter V8; otherwise, the 2024 Grand Wagoneer line carries over unchanged.

Our Recommendation:

The base Grand Wagoneer is probably the best choice, given all its standard and available equipment. But if you’re a music fanatic, get the Series II with the Obsidian Package.

2024 Jeep Grand Wagoneer: $91,445, Grand Wagoneer L: $94,445

Let’s start this conversation by stating even the base Grand Wagoneer comes loaded and includes several option packages that let customers further customize their purchases. However, much of the Grand Wagoneer’s optional equipment moves to the standard list on the more expensive trims. So, if you were thinking about checking all the boxes, it might be easier to just jump to Series II or Series III.

The Grand Wagoneer has a twin-turbocharged inline-6 engine, AWD, and Jeep’s Selec-Terrain system with driver-selectable Sand, Snow, and Mud and Rocks modes.

Drive to the front axle disconnects when not needed to conserve fuel when AWD isn’t needed. Hill descent control keeps the vehicle from accelerating too quickly when angled downhill. Jeep’s Selec-Speed acts as a kind of slow-motion cruise control when off-roading.

Jeep equips the Grand Wagoneer with an arsenal of driver-assist systems. Along with forward collision warning, there’s automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and front and rear parking sensors with rear braking.

Also included is adaptive cruise control with stop and go, automatic high-beam headlights, a blind-spot monitor, rear cross-traffic detection, a rear seat reminder, and an automated parking system that can automatically assist when parallel parking.

Large 20-inch alloy wheels come standard, along with LED headlights, steering-adaptive LED fog lights, a hands-free power liftgate, and power-folding heated and auto-dimming side mirrors with a tilt-down-in-reverse feature.

Furthering its luxury credentials, the Grand Wagoneer features a proximity key fob that permits unlocking the doors when touching the handle, rain-sensing wipers, power-deploying running boards, heated front wiper de-icers, and a rear backup camera with a lens washer.

The Grand Wagoneer’s interior is indeed grand, with Nappa leather upholstery, second-row heated captain’s chairs, and a power-folding 60/40 third-row bench seat.

The driver and front passenger sit on 20-way power-adjustable seats that pamper with heating, cooling, and massage. They even come with 4-way power adjustable head restraints.

A 2-position memory feature remembers settings for the driver’s seat, outside mirrors, power tilt/telescoping steering wheel, and power-adjustable pedals. The rear seats feature head restraints that can be remotely lowered, a nice touch when you need a clear view out the rear liftgate window.

Additional amenities on the 2024 Grand Wagoneer include 4-zone automatic climate control, a heated steering wheel, a tri-panel panoramic sunroof with a power sunshade, rear door manual sunshades, and ambient interior lighting.

Jeep clearly sees technology as a luxury, as evidenced by the abundant digital screens on the dash. The driver views a 12.3-inch configurable digital instrument cluster and color head-up display, and the passenger gains access to the infotainment and navigation settings via an available 10.25-inch Interactive Display.

Dominating the central dashboard is a 12-inch color touchscreen that displays audio, navigation, and infotainment information and serves as the viewscreen for the 360-degree monitor.

The Grand Wagoneer’s infotainment system includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM 360L, navigation, integrated voice control, and access to SiriusXM and Jeep subscription-based connected services.

All this goodness flows through 19 McIntosh speakers powered by a 950-watt amp. The speakers are strategically placed throughout the cabin, delivering an exceptional audio experience.

With an SUV full of users and their devices, charging won’t be an issue thanks to the many USB charge ports in all three rows. There’s also a rear-seat 115-volt plug outlet and a front console wireless charging pad.

Lest you think the Grand Wagoneer can go no further, Jeep offers four option packages accompanied by several stand-alone options.

Notable features contained within the packages include a power-sliding 40/20/40 second-row bench seat (increases passenger capacity to eight), a digital rearview mirror, Night Vision, a rear seat monitoring camera, intersection collision assist, traffic sign recognition, and the Jeep Active Driving Assist semi-autonomous self-driving system.

A dual-screen rear seat entertainment system, heavy-duty trailer tow package with hitch guidance, 22-inch polished wheels, and passenger Interactive Display screen complete the list.

On a side note, the only color that doesn’t cost extra is the two-tone white with the black roof. Every other choice adds $645 to the Grand Wagoneer’s bottom line.

Adding the $2,000 destination charge, the 2024 Jeep Grand Wagoneer costs $93,445. On a 60-month loan at 5% financing and $0 down, the monthly payment comes to $1,763. See 2024 Jeep Grand Wagoneer models for sale near you

2024 Jeep Grand Wagoneer includes:

  • Multitalented front seats – The Grand Wagoneer’s front seats keep you warm in winter, cool in summer, and stress-free year-round with their massaging features.
  • McIntosh audio – The 950-watt, 19-speaker McIntosh audio system sounds amazing and is an unexpected delight for an entry-level model.
  • Available Night Vision – This impressive option uses infrared cameras to highlight people and animals outside the headlight’s field of view, helping avoid potentially catastrophic collisions.

2024 Jeep Grand Wagoneer Series II: $97,545, Grand Wagoneer L Series II: $100,545

The Series II elevates both style and luxury with upgraded 22-inch polished wheels.

Palermo leather replaces Nappa inside, with the front passenger seat gaining a memory setting. Additional interior upgrades include a digital rearview mirror, a driver drowsiness monitor, traffic sign recognition technology, and an expanded interior color pallet with Agave Blue and Tupelo/Black.

The Series II upgrades the interior ambiance with a dark suede headliner and dark walnut wood interior accents.

In addition to the options noted for the Grand Wagoneer, the Series II offers the Obsidian Package ($5,495) with a 23-speaker, 1,375-watt McIntosh Reference audio system, unique Piano Black exterior accents, and black interior elements.

Further distinguishing the Obsidian group is a front console cooler, ventilated rear seats, a passenger side Interactive Display, and 22-inch tinted polished wheels with black inserts.

Adding the $2,000 destination charge, the 2024 Jeep Grand Wagoneer Series II costs $99,545. On a 60-month loan at 5% financing and $0 down, the monthly payment comes to $1,879. See 2024 Jeep Grand Wagoneer Series II models for sale near you

2024 Jeep Grand Wagoneer Series II includes:

  • Digital rearview mirror – This helpful feature replaces mirror glass with a digital screen hooked to a rear-facing camera. The image projected shows a wide field behind the vehicle, unincumbered by passengers or bulky cargo that would otherwise block the view.
  • Obsidian Package – This optional upgrade brings unique black interior and exterior styling elements, plus a 23-speaker McIntosh Reference audio system.
  • Available Active Driving Assist – This semi-autonomous driving aid can brake, steer, and accelerate with little to no intervention from the driver. However, a hand must always remain on the steering wheel.

2024 Jeep Grand Wagoneer Series III: $111,045, Grand Wagoneer L Series III: $114,045

The Series III absorbs all the Series II standard equipment, plus the contents from the Convenience Group, including Active Driving Assist, a rear-seat monitor camera, intersection collision assist, and Night Vision.

The Series III then adds the passenger-side Interactive Display, the 23-speaker McIntosh Reference audio system, a front console cooler, and various colors of premium quilted Palermo leather upholstery.

The Obsidian Package ($1,595) can also be ordered with the Series III, bringing more interior color choices than the Series II Obsidian package.

The only options are the rear-seat entertainment system, heavy-duty trailer tow package, and second-row bench seat.

Adding the $2,000 destination charge, the 2024 Jeep Grand Wagoneer Series III costs $112,095. On a 60-month loan at 5% financing and $0 down, the monthly payment comes to $2,133. See 2024 Jeep Grand Wagoneer Series III models for sale near you

2024 Jeep Grand Wagoneer Series III includes:

  • Quilted Palermo leather – The Series III’s quilted seat pattern adds an additional layer of elegance to an already stunning interior.
  • Rear seat monitor camera – A camera mounted in the ceiling lets the driver keep an eye on little ones in the back, who might be up to no good (maybe sharing their candy with the family dog).
  • Intersection collision assist – This system can detect vehicles approaching from the left or right, such as when about to enter a 4-way intersection, and alert the driver. It can even slow or stop the vehicle to help avoid a possible collision.
