What’s New:

The iconic Mercedes-Benz S-Class gets some nice upgrades for 2024. The base engine in the S 500 gets more power; it now makes 442 horsepower. The MBUX Entertainment Package is now standard across the model range; a heated steering wheel is standard on the S 580e and S 580; and the plug-in hybrid S 580e now comes standard with DC fast charging capability.

Our Recommendation:

We like the performance and efficiency of the S 580e. It’s more efficient than the S 500, moreit’serful and a little more affordable than the S 580. The plug-in hybrid S 580e is the sweet spot of the S-Class lineup.
