2024 Mercedes-EQ EQS: Choosing the Right Trim

The Mercedes-EQ EQS is the flagship electric sedan in the growing Mercedes-EQ lineup of EVs. It’s not just an electric version of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class. The EQS is its own distinct model with sleek, aerodynamic styling, and futuristic tech features like the Hyperscreen. It also boasts absolutely stunning performance in the form of the AMG model. However, it’s still a full-size luxury sedan, which means a first-class experience for the rear-seat passengers. A few welcome upgrades for the 2024 model make a good EV even better.

The Mercedes-EQ EQS is in a competitive class of electric luxury sedans with the likes of the Tesla Model S, Lucid Air, BMW i7, and Audi e-Tron GT. If you like the idea of the EQS as an SUV rather than a sedan, that’s also available.

The 2024 model year brings many new standard features to the EQS. A few favorites: the dash-spanning MBUX Hyperscreen, heated and power-adjustable rear seats, a rear wireless charging pad, and a heat pump for improved range in cold weather. The braking has been reworked for a better brake feel, and the motors are tweaked for extra power and torque.
