2024 Audi e-tron GT: Choosing the Right Trim

The 2024 Audi e-tron GT is a spectacular machine, with a 21st-century powertrain producing zero emissions, a sub-4-second 0-60 mph time, and a luxurious cabin with room for four.

Audi offers three variations on the e-tron theme: the e-tron GT Premium and Prestige follow the standard Audi trim regimen. At the same time, the RS e-tron GT is the electric equivalent of the gasoline-powered RS high-performance cars.

The e-tron’s sophisticated design makes challengers like the Tesla Model S look tame, although the Mercedes-Benz EQS 450, Lucid Air, and far less expensive Porsche Taycan are similarly stunning. Then again, the Tesla surpasses the e-tron GT’s 249-mile range, as do the rivals named earlier.

What’s New:

All 2024 Audi e-tron GT models gain Audi Power Steering Plus, LED Interior Lighting Plus, and illuminated door sills.

Prestige and the RS trims gain HD Matrix-design LED headlights with Audi laser light and a Dinamica (faux suede) headliner.

Our Recommendation:

The Audi e-tron RS is the performance choice but comes with a steep price tag. We’d take the Premium Plus with the Performance and Full Leather Interior packages and call it a day.

2024 Audi e-tron GT Premium Plus: $106,500

The first of three trims, the Premium Plus brings just about everything buyers could ask for in a luxury EV, including a price in line with most competitors.

Audi’s quattro all-wheel drive comes standard, achieved by pairing an electric motor at each axle. A rear-mounted 2-speed automatic transmission includes a first gear to ensure ultra-quick acceleration from a dead stop.

The e-tron GT’s 93kWh battery produces 523 hp with boost engaged, and when it comes time to charge, the e-tron GT offers charge ports on either front fender.

The e-tron GT gets Audi’s multitalented Matrix Design LED headlights. They use advanced light technology that allows the beam to adjust for range or width and bend in the direction of the steering wheel when turning.

The Advanced Key keyless entry system requires only having the key fob in your purse or pocket to unlock the doors and start the car.

Power-folding, heated side mirrors with an auto-dimming feature, 20-inch 5-double-spoke offset design alloy wheels with lockable wheel bolts, a panoramic fixed glass roof with heat-insulating glass (there’s no sunshade), and an adaptive air suspension round out the Premium Plus exterior features.

Climb inside the e-tron GT cabin, and you’ll find enthusiast-oriented heated 14-way power front sport seats covered in leatherette and Dinamica suede-like upholstery. There are memory settings for the driver’s seat, mirrors, and power tilt/telescoping Alcantara-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel.

Multicolor LED ambient lighting lets owners custom tailor their e-tron GT’s interior ambiance.

Rear seat side airbags come standard, as does a 3-zone climate control system with a rear seat control panel and preconditioning settings that can cool or heat the vehicle before you get in.

The e-tron GT’s dash is entirely digital, showing off Audi’s Virtual Cockpit instrument cluster, haptic touch digital climate controls, and an MMI infotainment system featuring a 10.1-inch touchscreen interface that understands voice prompts, too.

Standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto let you bring your favorite apps, music, and navigation for the ride, all played through a 16-speaker Bang & Olufsen 3D audio system. A wireless charging pad permits device charging without the need to plug in.

On the safety front, Audi equips the e-tron GT with forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, intersection assist, and rear cross-traffic detection with braking.

Additional driver aids include automatic high-beam headlights, a blind-spot monitor, a rearview camera, traffic sign recognition, and front and rear parking sensors. Cruise control comes standard, but an adaptive system is an extra-cost option.

Optional packages for the Premium Plus include the Executive Package, which adds adaptive cruise control and heated rear seats.

The Performance Package brings 20-inch double-spoke wheels with summer tires, e-torque vectoring plus, all-wheel steering, matte carbon-fiber inlays, and black exterior styling elements.

Premium Plus buyers can also upgrade to the Full Leather Interior Package, which includes Nappa leather upholstery, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, and massaging sport seats with ventilation and pneumatic leg and side bolsters. Leather also covers the dash, doors, and center console.

With the $1,495 destination fee, the 2024 Audi e-tron GT Premium Plus costs $107,995. On a 60-month loan at 5% financing and $0 down, the monthly payment comes to $2,038. See 2024 Audi e-tron GT Premium Plus models for sale near you

2024 Audi e-tron GT Premium Plus includes:

  • 14-way power sport seats – These provide excellent support during spirited drives, with numerous possible adjustments to help find the perfect driving position.
  • Intersection Assist – This system uses cameras and forward sensors to watch for vehicles about to cross in front of the car, warning the driver and activating the brakes to avoid a collision.
  • Bang & Olufsen 3D audio – With 710 watts pumping through 16 strategically placed speakers, this system will please even the most demanding audiophile.

2024 Audi e-tron GT Prestige: $114,500

Although not a great leap over the features found in the Premium Plus with the Executive package, the Prestige gains HD Matrix-design headlights with Audi laser light, headlight and taillight animation, a color head-up display, a 360-degree top view camera, dual-pane acoustic front door glass, and illuminated door sill inlays.

Also included is Audi’s Remote Park Assist Plus system that can automatically parallel park the e-tron GT with minimal driver input (not available in New York state or Vermont).

In addition to the option package mentioned in the Premium Plus section, the Prestige offers a 21-inch wheel upgrade.

With the $1,495 destination fee, the 2024 Audi e-tron GT Prestige costs $115,995. On a 60-month loan at 5% financing and $0 down, the monthly payment comes to $2,189. See 2024 Audi e-tron GT Prestige models for sale near you

2024 Audi e-tron GT Prestige includes:

  • Top-view camera – With multiple cameras positioned around the e-tron GT, the system creates a virtual image that shows the driver a 360-degree view outside the vehicle.
  • Head-up display – Projects pertinent driver and navigation information onto the windshield, allowing drivers to keep their eyes focused on the road.
  • Remote Park Assist Plus – This intelligent parking system steers the e-tron GT into a parallel parking space. If standing outside the vehicle, the driver can summon the car to pull forward, a helpful feature when adjacent cars make opening the door nearly impossible.

2024 Audi RS e-tron GT: $147,100

The RS is the high-performance e-tron GT variant. It uses the same dual synchronous electric motors and 93-kWh battery but produces 637 hp and a 0-60 mph run of 3.1 seconds.

The RS includes all the features found on the Prestige trim, minus the fixed glass roof, which is optional.

The RS then adds unique exterior styling elements such as carbon-fiber trim, Carbon Atlas matte inlays, 20-inch 5-spoke aero modular design wheels, a carbon-fiber roof panel, and Tungsten Carbide-coated brake discs with orange calipers.

In addition to the Full Leather Interior Package, the RS offers the Carbon Performance Package, which adds carbon-fiber accents, all-wheel steering, and black Audi rings and badges.

A Ceramic Brake Package adds 21-inch alloy wheels and ceramic brake discs with Anthracite Gray calipers.

With the $1,495 destination fee, the 2024 Audi RS e-tron GT costs $148,595. On a 60-month loan at 5% financing and $0 down, the monthly payment comes to $2,804. See 2024 Audi RS e-tron GT models for sale near you

2024 Audi RS e-tron GT includes:

  • E-torque vectoring – Distributes torque to the wheel with the best traction, a big help when cornering aggressively.
  • Available rear-wheel steering – Reduces the turning circle of the RS e-tron GT while adding stability in high-speed curves on the highway.
  • Available ceramic disc brakes – Ceramic brake rotors improve stopping power and brake performance while lasting longer than traditional steel rotors.

FAQ

  • Does the 2024 Audi e-tron GT qualify for a tax credit?

Regrettably, the 2024 Audi e-tron GT does not qualify for a federal tax credit, although it may still be eligible for specific state or city rebates.

  • How long does it take to charge a 2024 Audi e-tron GT?

Using a DC fast charging station, the Audi e-tron GT needs only about 22 minutes to go from a 5% to 80% charge. With a Level II charger at home, it will take about 10 hours to charge the e-tron GT’s battery.

  • Which 2024 Audi e-tron GT trim level offers the most safety?

Due to low production numbers, no agency has yet crash-tested the Audi e-tron GT. However, other e-tron vehicles like the SUV and e-tron Sportback perform exceptionally well in NHTSA and IIHS testing, making us reasonably confident the e-tron GT will also.

We’d add adaptive cruise control, which includes features like lane-keep and semi-autonomous driving.
