2024 Porsche Cayenne Coupe: Choosing the Right Trim

The 2024 Porsche Cayenne Coupe takes everything we love about the Cayenne SUV and packages it into a slightly smaller, coupe-like design. If you don’t need a big back seat and cavernous cargo hold, the sleek Cayenne Coupe may be a better choice than its SUV cousin.

For 2024, the Cayenne Coupe model range shrinks to four trims: Cayenne, E-Hybrid, S, and Turbo GT. All versions offer impressive performance, with the hybrid delivering a nice blend of performance and fuel economy.

All-wheel drive (AWD) comes standard, as does an 8-speed Tiptronic S transmission.

As is the Porsche way, all Cayenne Coupe models offer a lengthy optional equipment sheet, allowing for more personalization than you’ll find in competitors such as the Audi Q8, BMW X6, Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe, or Land Rover Range Rover Sport.

What’s New

The 2024 Porsche Cayenne Coupe sees significant improvements, exhibiting new exterior styling and a new interior with an all-digital instrument cluster, climate control, and infotainment screens. The number of models drops from seven to four, but all versions get more power, with the Cayenne S Coupe gaining a V8 engine.

Our Recommendation

We like the Porsche Cayenne S Coupe best. The S offers phenomenal performance at a price about half that of the Cayenne Turbo GT Coupe. And with Porsche’s seemingly never-ending options list, you can turn your S into the Cayenne of your dreams.

2024 Porsche Cayenne Coupe: $84,300

The base Porsche Cayenne Coupe features a 348-horsepower 3.0-liter turbocharged V6, AWD, and an 8-speed Tiptronic S automatic transmission.

True to its performance heritage, the Cayenne Coupe has a sport-tuned suspension backed by the Porsche Active Suspension Management system (PASM) with four driver-selectable settings: Normal, Sport, Sport Plus, and Off-road. Porsche’s Power Steering Plus varies the power steering assist based on speed, so you get more assistance when parking and less when racing through twisty curves.

Twenty-inch alloy wheels come standard, as does the Sport Chrono Package, which includes an analog and digital stopwatch, a Sport Response button, and an expansion of the Porsche Stability Management (PSM) system.

For 2024, the Cayenne Coupe receives more standard driver aids, including forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, front and rear parking sensors, lane-keeping assist, lane-change assist, and an active speed limiter with traffic sign recognition.

The Cayenne Coupe touts heated auto-dimming exterior mirrors, a fixed glass roof, rain-sensing wipers, a power tailgate, and an adaptive rear spoiler with a fixed upper wing. Matrix Design LED headlights provide better illumination and can adapt to different driving situations.

The Comfort Access keyless entry system permits unlocking and starting the Cayenne Coupe when the key fob is nearby. It also enables the foot-activated power liftgate.

Moving to the interior, we find an all-new instrument panel with a 12.6-inch curved digital driver display and a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen featuring navigation and Porsche connected apps. It’s all part of the Porsche Driving Experience, designed to optimize driver interaction with the various controls.

The Cayenne Coupe gains a power tilt/telescoping 911-style steering wheel and stalk-mounted controls moved closer to the wheel for more effortless driving operation. A new dash-mounted toggle switch replaces the previous console-mounted transmission lever, freeing up more space between the front seats.

A 10-speaker 150-watt audio system provides entertainment, fed by various sources, including wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, and native apps such as Apple Music and Spotify.

Additional Cayenne amenities include cruise control, partial leather upholstery, 8-way heated power Sport front seats, a 40/20/40-split Sport rear seat for two, dual-zone automatic climate control, a wireless charging pad, ambient interior lighting, and memory for the driver’s seat and mirrors.

Along with three 12V outlets, there are four USB-C charge ports (two in the front console and two in the rear seat area).

The Cayenne Coupe offers a nearly limitless choice of optional upgrades, so many in fact that we can only cover some of the most desirable upgrades.

First and foremost are a series of additional driver aids, which we think are worth adding. They include adaptive cruise control, Surround View camera with Active Parking Support, Night Vision, and InnoDrive with active lane-keeping and traffic jam assist.

Improvements to the adaptive cruise control include Evasion Assist, which enhances steering response in emergency maneuver situations, and Turn Assist, which looks for oncoming traffic when making a left turn and activates the brakes if a collision is likely.

InnoDrive, which works with adaptive cruise control, gains new abilities to operate in stop-and-go traffic.

Beyond the dizzying number of paint colors (part of the Exclusive Manufaktur Paint-to-Sample program), wheel options, interior colors and upholstery, the Cayenne Coupe offers several seating upgrades. A 2+1 rear seat increases capacity to three persons, while the front seats offer 14- or 18-way upgrades equipped with heating, cooling, and massage.

Additional perks include heated rear seats, soft-close doors, 4-zone automatic climate control, a heated steering wheel, a head-up display, power sun shades for the rear side windows, and a heated windshield.

HD Matrix Design headlights include auto-high beams, static cornering lights, and a light animation show that greets you as you approach or leave the vehicle.

On the performance end, the Cayenne Coupe offers adaptive air suspension, rear-axle steering, Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC), a performance exhaust, and an Off-Road Package, which includes rock rails with integrated skid plates, additional underbody protection for the engine and rear axle, plus tilt, gradient, and steering angle displays.

The Lightweight Sport Package includes unique styling, 22-inch wheels, and a carbon-fiber roof.

New for 2024 is a 10.9-inch passenger-side digital screen. Designed so only the passenger can see it, the screen grants access to performance data and other infotainment options while also letting you watch a movie.

Music lovers can upgrade to a 710-watt, 14-speaker Bose Surround Sound system or a 1,455-watt, 21-speaker Burmester 3D High-End Surround Sound system.

Once you’ve built the perfect Cayenne Coupe, you can choose from five delivery experiences, including traveling to Europe to take delivery.

2024 Porsche Cayenne Coupe includes:

  • Porsche Driver Experience – A new driver-focused interior includes a curved digital instrument cluster, redesigned controls, and better graphics.
  • PASM – The Porsche Active Suspension Management system constantly adapts to whatever situation may arise, firming up when needing to make rapid emergency maneuvers or mellowing out over rough and broken pavement.
  • Fixed glass roof – The Cayenne Coupe’s large glass panel roof makes the interior feel less cramped, although its sealed design means no additional airflow.

2024 Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid Coupe: $95,700

The E-Hybrid Coupe brings all the features and style of the Cayenne Coupe but with a more sophisticated plug-in hybrid powertrain.

Improvements for 2024 see the E-Hybrid gain a larger 25.9-kWh battery and an 11-kW onboard charger. This combo allows for greater all-electric travel (we expect about 25 miles) and faster charge times. The electric motor and turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 produce 463 hp and propel the Cayenne E-Hybrid Coupe to 60 mph in mere 4.6 seconds.

As this is a plug-in hybrid, the E-Hybrid includes two charging cables, one 240-volt NEMA 6-50 plug, and one 120-volt type B plug.

The hybrid powertrain compels a few changes, such as a smaller gas tank, 20-inch AeroDesign wheels, and an electric sound generator to alert pedestrians who otherwise might not hear you coming. The dual-zone climate control includes a pre-conditioning auxiliary cabin air conditioner while the Cayenne E-Hybrid Coupe charges.

With the $1,650 delivery charge, the 2024 Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid Coupe costs $97,350. On a 60-month loan at 5% financing and $0 down, the monthly payment comes to $1,837. See 2024 Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid Coupe models for sale near you

2024 Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid Coupe includes:

  • Electric-only propulsion – The new Cayenne E-Hybrid Coupe allows for an expected range of about 25 miles when using only electric power.
  • Audio upgrades – Audiophiles can choose audio upgrades, including a $7,000 Burmester 3D sound system featuring 21 speakers and a 1,455-watt amp.
  • Sport seats – The Cayenne Coupe’s 8-way power Sport seats provide additional bolstering to hold the driver and passenger better when the lateral G-forces rise.

2024 Porsche Cayenne S Coupe: $102,100

If you like the base Cayenne Coupe but feel it needs more grunt, the Cayenne S Coupe has your name written all over it. The S Coupe has the same standard equipment, except its 20-inch Cayenne S wheels and bold red brake calipers.

The big difference between the two lies under the skin, where a 468-hp twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 sends power to all four wheels, resulting in a 0-60 mph time of just 4.4 seconds, a full second faster.

Given its image, the 2024 Porsche Cayenne S Coupe offers a few more performance options over the base model, such as the available Torque Vectoring Plus system. When cornering aggressively, torque vectoring technology brakes the inside rear wheel and routes torque to the outside wheel, helping the Cayenne S Coupe stay on its intended course.

With the $1,650 delivery charge, the 2024 Porsche Cayenne S Coupe costs $103,750. On a 60-month loan with 5% financing and $0 down, the monthly payment comes to $1,958. See 2024 Porsche Cayenne S Coupe models for sale near you

2024 Porsche Cayenne S Coupe includes:

  • Twin-turbocharged V8 – When it comes to performance, there’s just no beating the sound and feel provided by a V8 engine. Add in turbocharging, and you get a blisteringly quick SUV.
  • Available torque vectoring – This system improves high-speed cornering on wet or dry pavement.
  • Available ventilated Sport seats – The Cayenne S Coupe’s optional ventilated front seats keep occupants cool and dry on sweltering summer days.

2024 Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT Coupe: $196,300

The ultimate Porsche Cayenne Coupe is the Turbo GT. It features a twin-turbocharged V8 developing 650 hp, a 3.1-second 0-60 mph time, and a 189-mph top speed.

Porsche loads the Turbo GT with its best performance features, including rear-axle steering, Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC), Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus, and an adaptive air suspension with a 15-millimeters-lower ride height.

You’ll also get a lightweight titanium sport exhaust and ceramic-composite brake rotors.

The Turbo GT rides on ultra high-performance summer tires mounted on big 22-inch GT Design wheels.

A carbon-fiber roof, air curtains in the wheel arches, and Turbo GT-specific front air intake all help with performance. Matrix Design LED headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus (PDLS+) come standard.

The Turbo GT’s cabin includes a heated GT sport steering wheel in Race-Tex with a 12 o’clock marker in yellow, Race-Tex or leather upholstery, carbon fiber and black interior accents, stainless steel pedals, and a Race-Tex headliner. Rear side-impact airbags are also standard.

There are six standard paint colors, two Special Color options ($3,150), and dozens of Paint-to-Sample portfolio choices that come in at a cool $13,150.

Turbo GT buyers can upgrade to the 18-way Adaptive Sport Seats Plus option, add ventilation to the front seats, and pick from numerous interior and exterior styling packages.

The 14-speaker Bose Surround Sound audio comes standard, with the option to upgrade with the 21-speaker Burmester 3D system.

With the $1,650 delivery charge, the 2024 Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT Coupe costs $197,950. On a 60-month loan at 5% financing and $0 down, the monthly payment comes to $3,736. See 2024 Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT Coupe models for sale near you

2024 Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT Coupe includes:

  • Carbon-fiber roof – The lightweight top improves rigidity while lessening weight.
  • Rear-axle steering – The rear wheels turn slightly in the same direction as the fronts at high speeds to aid vehicle stability. At slower speeds, the rears turn counter to the fronts, reducing the turning radius and making maneuvering in tight parking lots easier.
  • Matrix Design LED headlights – Matrix Design LED headlights can vary light intensity and range, aim the beam in the direction of the front wheels, and automatically dim when sensing approaching traffic.

FAQ

  • Does the Porsche Cayenne Coupe have less cargo room than the standard Cayenne?

It does, by a small amount. The Porsche Cayenne Coupe has 20.9 cubic feet of cargo room behind its rear seat, whereas the standard Cayenne has 27.2 cubic feet in back. With rear seat folded, the Cayenne Coupe has 54.0 cubic feet of cargo room versus 60.3 for the standard Cayenne.

Message here: Even the Cayenne Coupe with its sloping roofline has more cargo room in back than a typical sedan.

  • How many miles per gallon does the 2024 Porsche Cayenne Coupe get?

We expect the 2024 Porsche Cayenne Coupe to have EPA fuel economy much like last year’s model. That means an EPA combined figure of about 20 mpg. The Cayenne S Coupe should get around 18 mpg, while the Turbo GT will be rated at about 16 mpg combined.

As for the Porsche Cayenne Coupe E-Hybrid, we expect it to around 20 mpg combined, 42 MPGe, and have an all-electric range of about 25 miles.

  • Which 2024 Porsche Cayenne Coupe trim offers the most safety?

As all of the Porsche Cayenne Coupe models offer the same set of standard driver assists, we say they’ll all fare pretty well. If maximum safety is a concern, check the boxes for additional assists like adaptive cruise control and the 360-degree camera system.
