2025 Lincoln Aviator: Choosing the Right Trim

For 2025, Lincoln ups the Aviator’s game, adding a bold new front end, more standard high-tech features, and more luxury. All this “more” also adds up to more dollars, as the 2025 model sees a significant price increase over the 2024 Aviator. However, in the world of 3-row luxury SUVs, the Aviator delivers an impressive list of standard and optional equipment, making it a relative bargain.

All Aviator models, offered in Premiere, Reserve, or Black Label trims, derive power from a single source: a 400-horsepower twin-turbocharged V6. Rear-wheel drive is standard on the Premiere and Reserve, and all-wheel drive (AWD) is optional on both and standard on the Black Label series.

With seating for seven, the Lincoln Aviator’s 3-row rivals include the Acura MDX, Cadillac XT6, Lexus TX, Infiniti QX60, and Volvo XC90.

What’s New:

For 2025, Lincoln ups the Aviator’s presence with a bold new front end and new headlight designs, including animated light strips that put on a little show every time you approach the vehicle. The Reserve trim gains an adaptive suspension system, an illuminated Lincoln grille star emblem, and adaptive LED headlights that adjust illumination based on speed. All Aviator trims now feature a panoramic sunroof and Lincoln’s Co-Pilot360 2.1 suite, adding a 360-degree monitor, reverse automatic braking, and a 4-year subscription to the BlueCruise hands-free highway driving assistant. Inside, the Aviator gets a larger infotainment touchscreen and digital instrument cluster and a new, faster operating system called Lincoln Digital Experience that lets you personalize settings, surf the web, and even stream movies (while parked).

Our Recommendation:

While the Premiere offers a lot for the money, we think luxury buyers will like the Reserve trim better. The price is right, and the optional equipment list is plentiful.

These are the manufacturer’s suggested retail prices (MSRP) and include the $1,395 factory-to-dealer delivery fee (destination charge). Prices are current at the time of publishing.

2025 Lincoln Aviator Premiere: $59,890 (RWD), $62,390 (AWD)

The Premiere is surprisingly well equipped for an entry-level model, so much so that many luxury buyers may not feel the need to look any further. Coming in just under $60,000, the Aviator Premiere offers the competition a run for their money, even with the few optional upgrades added in.

The Premiere rolls on 20-inch bright machined alloy wheels wrapped in all-season tires. An 18-inch compact spare tire serves as a backup. This year, an adaptive suspension system is new for a smoother, more controlled ride.

Additional standard features include heated power-folding side mirrors with driver’s side auto-dimming feature, a panoramic power sunroof, rain-sensing heated VisoBlade front wipers, Intelligent Access keyless entry with push-button start, remote start, and the SecuriCode hidden keypad entry system. Lincoln Embrace adds illuminated door handle pockets, a Lincoln logo welcome mat, and a cluster display welcome.

Finishing off the Premiere’s exterior feature set is rear privacy glass, a power liftgate, a capless fuel filler, aluminum roof rails, and wiper-activated LED headlights.

Naturally, Lincoln’s Co-Pilot360 2.1 comes standard. This sophisticated suite of driver aids includes forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, intersection assist, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, a blind-spot monitor with trailer coverage, rear cross-traffic detection with braking, evasive steering assist, road edge detection, automatic high-beam headlights, a rearview camera, and rear parking sensors.

This year, Co-Pilot360 2.1 Vision adds a 360-degree monitor, reverse brake assist, and Lincoln’s BlueCruise hands-free highway driving assist with a 4-year complimentary subscription.

Additional safety features include front parking sensors, hill start assist, auto brake hold, a tire pressure monitor, and auto on/off headlights. The Aviator’s airbag count includes driver and front passenger knee airbags and 3-row side curtain airbags. Lincoln’s MyKey programmable key fob allows you to limit certain features like audio volume and top speed, while the Phone-as-a-Key feature does what its name implies.

As handsome as it is on the outside, the Aviator’s true beauty resides inside its cabin, where luxury appointments are numerous. The list starts with a 10-way power driver’s seat with memory and an 8-way power passenger seat. The front Comfort Seats are heated and ventilated; both feature power lumbar support. The second row features captain’s chairs separated by a mini console (includes a power Tip-and-Slide release), while the 50/50-split power-folding third-row seat offers room for two. Lincoln’s Micro Perforated Lux synthetic leather upholstery is almost as nice as leather.

Luxury amenities include tri-zone automatic climate control with a rear auxiliary heater/cooler, one-touch up/down power windows, and a heated power tilt/telescoping steering wheel with controls for the cruise, audio, and phone.

The list continues with lighted visor vanity mirrors, an overhead console with a sunglass holder, and a frameless auto-dimming rearview mirror. Eleven power points are included: one 110-volt outlet, two 12-volt outlets (one in the console and one in the cargo bay), and eight smart-charging USB ports (one type-A and seven type-C) divided between the three rows. A wireless phone charging pad is also standard.

The driver receives information via a 12.4-inch configurable digital instrument cluster with various screen settings, including the Drive Mode displays for Conserve, Deep Conditions, Excite, Normal, and Slippery.

To the right of the cluster is a large freestanding 13.2-inch touchscreen equipped with the new Lincon Digital Experience developed in conjunction with Google. The setup includes a 10-speaker premium Lincoln audio system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, a 5G LTE Wi-Fi hot spot, and access to Lincoln Connect apps and services. The system also allows for personal profiles covering individual settings for climate, driver-assist features, audio, mirrors, and seats. Owners can access Amazon Alexa and Google Maps and even surf the web or stream movies when the vehicle is parked.

Finally, the Premiere comes standard with a Class III Trailer hitch, trailer sway control, and Smart Trailer Tow.

The Premiere II (101A) group adds a head-up display, heated second-row seats, and a 14-speaker Revel audio system.
