The Q7 offers two powertrains designated by either a 45 or 55 after the name. Q7 45 models feature a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with 261 horsepower, while the Q7 55 comes with a more powerful 355-hp turbocharged V6.
The 2024 Audi SQ7 gets a 500-hp turbocharged V8 that delivers exhilarating performance but carries a hefty price tag and underwhelming fuel economy figures.
Quattro AWD comes standard, regardless of trim or engine option.
Rivals like the BMW X7 and Mercedes-Benz GLS give the Q7 a run for its money but also come with a significantly higher base price. The new Lexus TX is competitively priced and offers the benefit of a hybrid powertrain.

What’s New:
Adaptive cruise control has been added to the Audi Q7’s standard feature set, as has remote start via the Audi connect app. The Premium Plus gains multi-color ambient LED interior lighting, and its Executive Package adds traffic sign recognition.
The Audi S7 Prestige trim now offers a new S line Sport Package.
Our Recommendation:
For most drivers, the Premium Plus trim is the best buy in the 2024 Audi Q7 lineup because it offers many luxurious features at a reasonable price. We’d go with the 55 model for its more powerful engine.

2024 Audi Q7 Premium: $59,500 (Q7 45), $65,300 (Q7 55)
The base Audi Q7 Premium comes nicely equipped, although we think the standard turbocharged 4-cylinder engine in the 45 feels a bit short on power. We’d fork out the additional $5,800 and get the more powerful turbocharged V6 in the 55 model, which also brings Matrix LED headlights.
Audi doesn’t skimp on safety: The 2024 Audi Q7 Premium comes standard with adaptive cruise control with traffic jam assist, front and rear parking sensors, forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, and a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic detection. It also has lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. Audi’s Pre-Safe system goes further, automatically closing the windows and sunroof and tightening the seatbelts when anticipating a collision.
The Premium trim level features 19-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights and taillights, aluminum roof rails, auto-dimming heated power-folding side mirrors, and a hands-free power liftgate. It also boasts Audi’s Advanced Key proximity keyless entry, which transmits a signal to the car, allowing drivers to unlock the doors without removing the fob from their purse or pocket.
The Premium interior delights with features rarely found on entry-level trims. A few examples: leather upholstery, a power tilt/telescoping steering wheel, and 8-way power front seats with driver 4-way power lumbar and memory settings. You also get three-zone automatic climate control, steering wheel paddle shifters, a power-folding third-row seat, heated front seats, rear seat side airbags, and a panoramic power sunroof with power sunshade.
A digital instrument panel, called Audi Virtual Cockpit Plus, replaces traditional analog gauges and gives the driver more say in how and what information gets displayed.
The standard MMI (Multi Media Interface) Navigation Plus system is a dual-screen infotainment system with navigation, SiriusXM 360L, HD Radio, a 10-speaker audio system, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
We think the optional Convenience Package is desirable. It adds a wireless charging pad, a heated steering wheel, and a 360-degree camera. Additional options include 20-inch wheels, a black headliner, and a tow package that increases towing to 4,400 pounds (or 7,700 pounds on the Q7 55).

You cannot get the luxurious Prestige trim with the base 45 TFSI powertrain. The Q7 Prestige comes exclusively with the V6.
Building off the Premium Plus trim, the 2024 Audi Q7 Prestige has a comfort-oriented adaptive air suspension, dual-pane acoustic glass for the side windows, a head-up display, and power soft-closing doors. It also comes standard with the contents of the Executive Package.
Extra safety tech in the Prestige model includes intersection assist and a remote park assist feature that lets you park the Q7 remotely with a mobile app (not available in New York or Vermont).
There are a couple of option packages exclusive to the Q7 Prestige trim. The Luxury Package improves interior materials with a Dinamica (synthetic suede) headliner, a Valcona/Cricket leather interior with the extended leather package, and individual contour front seats with ventilation and massage.
The Laser Headlights Package upgrades to HD Matrix-design LED headlights with Audi Laser Light, animation for headlights and taillights, and a headlight washer system.
