Nissan Overview

Nissan is a popular Japanese automaker that has been competing stateside with big brands like Honda and Toyota since their first American factory opened in 1983. Several decades later, the Nissan Rogue is frequently the best-selling small SUV in America and the Nissan Altima sedan is almost always in the top three best-selling sedans. Nissan also has a long history of exciting sports cars, practical economy cars, rugged trucks, capable SUVs — and, more recently, electric cars.
