- Available in coupe and convertible form
- Two special interior color combinations
- Six possible exterior color options
The XK and XKR have always been go-to vehicles for Jaguar when it comes to special editions. Since the car's facelift in 2010, we've seen two already, celebrating the company's 75 years of existence, and the 50th anniversary of the introduction of Jaguar's iconic E-Type. But it's never too soon for yet another, which Jaguar has done with the XK and XKR Special Editions.
Available for order immediately, the Special Edition mainly offers new color choices for the interior and exterior, but also adds features like 16x16-way adjustable seats and a 525-Watt Bowers & Wilkins sound system. Exterior colors are limited to six hues, with Celestial Black being an offering only available on the Special Edition car. Two new 20-inch wheel designs can be stuffed under that painted bodywork, in dark grey or polished finishes. The car can also be had in coupe or convertible forms, and of course the convertible top will be carefully color-matched to whatever color is on the sheet metal.
Inside, aside from those sport seats and sound system, two special color combinations can be ordered, Navy with Jet headlining and Truffle with Canvas headlining. Speaking of the headliner, that is finished in Poltrona FrauŽ leather, while the rest of the interior uses a special "scraffito" finished leather. The veneer can also utilize two special finishes for this car, Shadow Walnut, and Dark Figured Aluminum.
What it means to you: There are already a lot of special edition XKs out there, but if you weren't able to get in on the limited production 75 or E-Type tribute cars, this may be your ticket to an XK that's different from the rest.
