What Is It?

The 2014 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible is a 2-door, rear-wheel-drive soft-top convertible. Although the Camaro Convertible is already on sale, the 2014 model includes the same upgrades the hardtop coupe received earlier this year. That means revised styling that features a new grille and rear bumper. The interior is also upgraded to offer Chevrolet's MyLink infotainment system and a heads-up display that's projected on the windshield.

How Much?

Pricing isn't official, though we expect the Camaro Convertible to range from $32,500 for a V6 model to $42,500 for a well-equipped V8-powered SS.

When Can You Get It?

Fall 2013.

Add It to Your Shopping List Because...

With its latest updates, the Camaro Convertible enjoys the same revisions as the sporty 2014 Camaro coupe. That means a narrow grille, a new hood and an altered rear bumper -- all of which give the car a more modern look. If that's not enough to sway you, that you can now get Chevrolet's useful MyLink infotainment system should do the trick. In essence, the 2014 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible combines a few modern touches with the performance and styling we've always loved.

Other Cars to Consider

Ford Mustang -- The Mustang stands as the Camaro's main competition, offering the same lineup of V6 or V8 power, four seats and an available soft-top convertible.

Dodge Challenger -- If you have to have a convertible, take the Challenger off your list; Dodge doesn't offer one. But if it's the styling and performance you're after, the Challenger is a good alternative to the Camaro.

2013 Chevrolet Camaro -- With the 2014 model on its way, drivers likely will get a good deal on leftover 2013 models. You won't get MyLink or the styling updates, but you may get a lot of money off.

Used Porsche Boxster -- Few cars offer more head-turning drop-top style than a Porsche Boxster. New prices are steep, but a used model is in Camaro territory. The only catch: You'll lose the rear seats.
