What Is It?
The 2015 Infiniti QX80 is a full-size luxury SUV that’s revised for the latest model year to offer updated styling and a new high-end trim level. Formerly known as the QX56, the QX80 serves as the flagship SUV in Infiniti’s newly renamed lineup, for which each model’s name begins with QX.
On the outside, the QX80 touts several updates over the current model. For one, the entire front and rear ends are completely revised, offering a new look that’s more in step with the brand’s design language. Changes in front include new fog lights, new LED headlights and a new mesh grille that replaces last year’s horizontal crossbars.
Inside, updates are less substantial. Interior styling is largely the same as last year’s QX80, and the only major changes are new features such as automatic high beams and a standard forward-collision warning system. Things also remain the same under the QX80’s hood, where the SUV retains its 5.6-liter V8 and 7-speed automatic transmission.
The biggest change to the QX80 lineup comes in the form of an all-new upscale trim level dubbed the QX80 Limited. Featuring high-end Truffle Brown leather upholstery, silver piping and quilted stitching, the QX80 Limited offers a luxurious experience for drivers. The QX80 Limited also boasts exterior upgrades over the standard model, including 22-inch wheels, dark chrome exterior trim and smoked headlights and taillights.
Infiniti hasn’t announced pricing, but we expect that the 2015 QX80 will be only a small jump over today’s starting figure of around $63,500 with shipping. Limited models, however, will likely carry a premium of a few thousand dollars.

Add It to Your Shopping List Because…
The 2015 Infiniti QX80 offers a well-equipped alternative to many of today’s top full-size luxury SUVs. While earlier QX56 and QX80 models may not have been up to the challenge of taking on certain high-end rivals, the new-for-2015 QX80 Limited seems to offer a luxurious experience that’s designed to go toe-to-toe with the most expensive models in its class. For shoppers who don’t need the amenities of the QX80 Limited, even a well-equipped standard model offers a lot of features, a lot of room, a lot of power and a commanding view of the road.
