The Ford Mustang lineup once again includes a high-performance Shelby variant. Dubbed the Shelby GT350 and revealed at this year’s LA Auto Show, the latest Shelby Mustang will boast the most powerful naturally aspirated Ford engine ever — and while Ford hasn’t released numbers yet, the automaker has confirmed the new car will make more than 500 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque.
Only offered with a six-speed manual transmission, the GT350 features uprated brakes and a series of stylistic changes compared to the standard Mustang. Interior revisions include a flat-bottom steering wheel, an updated gauge cluster and grippy Recaro seats. We’re excited to check out the 2016 Shelby GT350 for ourselves when it reaches dealers next fall.
