If you’re interested in a British sports car, you have a few options to choose from — vehicles like Austin Healey, MG or Triumph. If you’re looking for something a bit more modern, you may turn to Autotrader — and, so, I’ve listed five of the cheapest British sports cars currently for sale on Autotrader, just in case you want a bargain on something sporty and fun from the UK.
This is among the cheapest Aston Martin models currently listed for sale on Autotrader, and it’s wonderful: a 1998 DB7 Volante model that’s traveled just 22,500 original miles from new. Although the DB7 isn’t as highly regarded in the used Aston world as, for instance, the Vanquish or DB9, it’s still a special car with a nice appearance — and this one would make a nice grand tourer, as it’s equipped with an automatic transmission. It’s listed at Morrie’s Luxury Auto in the Minneapolis area for just $28,999.
The Aston Martin V8 Vantage is a beautiful modern Aston Martin, and prices on used V8 Vantage models continue to fall, making it more affordable than most people would likely suspect. This particular 2007 V8 Vantage is among the least expensive on Autotrader, as it’s currently listed by Greater Chicago Motors with just over 31,000 miles for $38,555 — and although it doesn’t have the desirable manual transmission, it’s still an impressive bargain considering just how special it is.
The Bentley Continental GT probably won’t be considered a “sports car” by many people, as it’s more of a full-sized luxury grand tourer — but it does boast a 600-horsepower twin-turbocharged engine and highly impressive acceleration. This particular 2005 Continental GT is among the cheapest on Autotrader, as it touts 81,000 miles — high for a Continental GT — and an asking price of just $38,900 from iCars Chicago in, of course, Chicago.
The best deal on Autotrader for a used British car is surely in the Jaguar world — if you can stomach the brand’s rather uncertain reliability. This 2007 Jaguar XK, which surely had a new price tag of well over $70,000, is offered by Toyota of Pharr in South Texas with under 70,000 miles for just $13,455. That’s in line with the asking price of other, similar Jaguar XK models, and it’s a bargain considering that the XK still has beautiful styling, along with a muscular V8 — assuming it stays reliable.
Although the MP4-12C is more “supercar” than “sports car,” it’s still British — and, technically, it’s still a sports car, so it’s very much worth highlighting on our list. This 2012 MP4-12C is the cheapest McLaren on Autotrader, as it’s listed with 28,400 miles for just $109,899 — not a bad deal, considering the car’s performance. It’s offered by Jumbo Luxury Cars in the Miami area, and it’s finished in a handsome gray color with an attractive “Arabica Brown” 2-tone interior.
