Other than the new SE Nightshade grade, the 2022 Toyota Camry Hybrid returns basically unchanged.
The uniqueness of the Nightshade trim level primarily consists of blacking out the exterior accents and wheels. In other words, it will essentially be a blacked-out SE grade.
The LE, SE, SE Nightshade, XLE, and XSE comprise the trim levels.
Every trim comes standard with Toyota Safety Sense 2.5, including forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-departure alert with steering assist, and lane-tracing assist. Road-sign assist, full-speed adaptive cruise control, and high-beam assist are also part of the package.
Numbered among Camry’s rivals are the hybrid versions of the Honda Accord and Hyundai Sonata.
The Camry Hybrid has a reputation for reliability, durability, comfort, and safety.
With the current-generation Camry, you also get compelling exterior styling for the first time in its history.
What we like about the hybrid version is its fuel economy, well-stocked interior, and user-friendly infotainment system.
A 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine teams with an electric motor to generate a total of 208 horsepower and 163-lb-ft of torque. An automatic transmission sends output to the front wheels.
The government-estimated fuel economy for the base LE model is 51 miles per gallon in the city, 53 mpg on the highway, and 52 mpg in combined driving. The other grades turn in an estimated mileage count of 44/47/46.
