The 3-row 2023 Hyundai Palisade reveals a more muscular face and a significant list of new or updated features. As Hyundai’s largest and most luxurious SUV, the Palisade rules the Hyundai SUV roost in terms of space, technology, and passenger pampering.
For 2023, Hyundai also incorporates a fifth trim level into the Palisade’s grade lineup that includes SE, SEL, Limited, and Calligraphy. Following the lead of the Santa Fe and Tucson, the new XRT trim squeezes between the SEL and Limited. Primarily a rugged-looking appearance package, it adds several dark-finish exterior elements and a power sunroof.
Notable among the Palisade’s available upgrades are a 12-inch infotainment touchscreen, Wi-Fi hotspot capability, and nine airbags (including new rear-seat side-impact airbags).
A 291-horsepower 3.8-liter V6 continues to provide the Palisade with thrust. Hyundai links it to an 8-speed automatic transmission that you can manually control through paddle shifters mounted to the steering wheel. Three driver-controlled driving modes (Normal, Sport, and Smart) are standard.
The Palisade is offered with front-wheel drive (FWD) or all-wheel-drive (AWD). The latter adds about $1,700 to any trim, except the Calligraphy, on which AWD is standard.
We like the Palisade for its roomy cabin, its reasonable pricing, its abundance of standard features, and its outstanding 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty. See 2023 Hyundai Palisade models for sale near you
2023 Hyundai Palisade SE
(starting at $34,950)
Although the 8-passenger SE anchors the Palisade lineup, it is anything but base. Hyundai loads it up with standard content. This includes a wide range of advanced driver aids and safety technology. Standard are a redesigned steering wheel with haptic feedback, forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, and rear park assist. Also included are lane-keeping assist, lane-following assist, Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist, and rear cross-traffic alert with emergency braking. Driver-attention warning, high-beam assist, adaptive cruise control, and Safe Exit Assist are standard as well.
Hyundai also provides the SE with 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, and heated outboard mirrors with integrated turn signals. Cloth seating, 60/40 split-folding rear seats, and a tilt-telescopic steering wheel are standard. Hyundai also includes remote keyless entry, seven USB ports, and a 12-volt power port.
Among the infotainment features are a 12-inch touchscreen, a 6-speaker audio system, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto.
AWD is the only SE factory-installed option. With it comes hill-descent control and a Snow driving mode.
Adding the $1,295 destination fee to the SE base price brings our estimated total to $36,245. With no money down, financing for 60 months at 3% interest works out to about $651 per month. See 2023 Hyundai Palisade SE models for sale near you

2023 Hyundai Palisade SEL
(starting at $37,950)
We believe the 7-passenger SEL represents the highest value among the Palisade trim levels. Not only does it come with features like dual-zone automatic climate control and a proximity key fob with push-button start, but it also offers an array of options.
To the SE, the SEL adds roof rails, an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats, second-row captain’s chairs, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Also included are an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a hands-free smart liftgate, a wireless smartphone charger, and a HomeLink universal garage remote.
You can up the content list significantly with the Premium Package ($4,950), which includes 20-inch alloy wheels, a self-leveling rear air suspension, 12.3-inch full-digital multi-information display, a blind-spot view monitor, front parking sensors, 3rd-row USB outlets and Highway Driving Assist. The Premium Package also comes with leather seating, an 8-way power-adjustable passenger seat, heated second-row seats, a power-folding and reclining third-row seat and a navigation system.
You can also swap the second-row captain’s chairs for the 60/40 split-folding bench seat. This no-charge option puts the passenger count back to eight.
Adding the $1,295 destination fee to the SEL’s base price equals $39,245. Financing that amount for 60 months at 3% interest with no money down works out to roughly $705 per month. See 2023 Hyundai Palisade SEL models for sale near you
2023 Hyundai Palisade SEL includes:
Proximity key fob – If the key fob is on your person, the doors automatically unlock when you touch the door handle. Push-button start is paired with the proximity key.
Dual-zone automatic climate control – A set-it-and-forget-it system, it divides the vehicle into left and right regions, providing separate temperature settings for each region. Once set, it automatically maintains the preset temperatures.
Auto-dimming rearview mirror – Using photosensors, it recognizes bright headlights closing from behind and automatically dims the reflection of those lights.
2023 Hyundai Palisade XRT
(starting at $40,250)
Other than some dark-finish exterior trim elements, 20-inch alloy wheels, and a power sunroof, the new Palisade XRT mimics the SEL.

2023 Hyundai Palisade Limited
(starting at $46,500)
Building on the SEL, the Hyundai Palisade Limited is a giant leap into luxury with a price bump reflecting the content increase.
The Limited adds the SEL’s Convenience Package and Premium Package features as standard. It also includes rain-sensing wipers, a dual-pane sunroof, ventilated front seats, heated and ventilated second-row seats, and Nappa leather upholstery. A head-up display, a 360-degree surround-view camera, a 12-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, and a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster are standard. Hyundai’s innovative Blind-Spot View Monitor that shows a real-time image of side blind spots when you activate the turn signal is also included, as is Highway Driving Assist semi-autonomous driver assistance.
Essentially, Hyundai doesn’t offer any factory-installed options for the Limited.
Adding the $1,295 destination fee to the Limited base price brings the total to an estimated $47,795. Financing for 60 months at 3% interest with no money down works out to about $859 per month. See 2023 Hyundai Palisade Limited models for sale near you
2023 Hyundai Palisade Limited includes:
Hands-free power liftgate – With the key fob on your person, simply stand behind the Palisade for three seconds and the liftgate automatically opens.
Surround-view camera – It provides a 360-degree bird’s-eye view around the vehicle. This is particularly valuable when parking.
Nappa leather seating – This full-grain leather undergoes a special tanning process, rendering it softer and more pliable than other leather.
2023 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy
(starting at $48,900)
This is the top-of-the-heap Palisade trim level. Hyundai outfits it with AWD, and all the bells and whistles. To the Limited, it adds 20-inch alloy wheels, unique front-end and rear-end treatments, puddle lamps, quilted-leather door panels, and a perforated leather-wrapped steering wheel.
Adding the $1,295 destination fee to the Calligraphy’s base price totals $50,195. With no money down, financing for 60 months at 3% interest works out to about $902 per month. See 2023 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy models for sale near you
2023 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy includes:
AWD – This is Hyundai’s HTRAC system. It includes a Snow mode that divides torque between the front and rear axles while providing left and right wheel-slip control. It also features a locking differential for enhanced traction.
Exterior upgrades – Unique 20-inch wheels, a more elegant grille, and special rear accent lighting are among the exterior enhancements.
Puddle lamps – Located in the outboard mirrors, these approach lights illuminate the ground around the front doors.
The above says for the Hyundai Palisade SEL you can change the second row caption seat to a bench seat at no
charge. This is not true to get 2nd row bench seats in the SEL the build site requires you to have the $4995 premium
package. I would hardly call this NO CHARGE!
Still n power-folding mirrors? What about illuminated buttons on the front interior ceiling controls?
