Two powertrain options give a nice variety to the 2024 GV70 lineup. All models with 2.5T in their names use a potent and efficient turbo 4-cylinder engine. Luxury SUV drivers craving sporty performance will prefer the 3.5T models powered by a 375-horsepower turbo V6.

What’s New:
Every Genesis GV70 gets a standard Wi-Fi hot spot for 2024. A few luxury features that used to be available on the lower trims of the 4-cylinder GV70 are now exclusive to the Sport Prestige trim, including ventilated front seats, rear sunshades, Remote Smart Parking Assist, and Lexicon premium audio. The Highway Driving Assist 2 semi-autonomous driving system is now standard on all GV70 models with “3.5T” in their names.
Also of note is that manufacturing for the GV70 has moved from South Korea to Alabama.

The base model of the Genesis GV70 is so well-equipped that it’s the one we recommend. The standard engine has plenty of power, and we love the standard features like all-wheel drive, a hands-free power liftgate, a high-tech infotainment system with a 14.5-inch screen, and Highway Driving Assist.

2024 Genesis GV70 2.5T AWD Standard: $44,900
The GV70 2.5T AWD Standard is exceptionally well-equipped for a luxury SUV at this price point. The standard powertrain is a 2.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine rated at 300 hp and 311 lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission. The EPA says the GV70 AWD returns 22 mpg city/28 mpg highway/24 mpg combined.
Standard features at the base level include LED headlights and taillights, a hands-free power liftgate, leatherette seats, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, a wireless charging pad, a 14.5-inch infotainment screen, navigation, SiriusXM, HD Radio, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, a Wi-Fi hot spot, and a 9-speaker audio system.
Standard safety tech features include automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, driver attention warning, blind-spot monitoring, automatic high beams, rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, and the Highway Driving Assist semi-autonomous driving system.
In lieu of individual options, the GV70 2.5T has three option packages from which to choose.
The Select Package ($3,000) adds a panoramic sunroof, a heated steering wheel, aluminum interior trim, a power steering column, a memory driver’s seat, and power-folding mirrors with Genesis logo lamps. The Advanced Package ($6,000) further adds leather seats, a surround-view monitor and blind-spot view monitor, front parking sensors, and reverse automatic emergency braking, plus advanced rear occupant alert, adjustable ambient interior lighting, power lumbar for the front passenger seat, and a 110V power outlet in the second row.
Finally, the Sport Prestige Package ($11,900) makes the GV70 a sportier SUV with an appearance package borrowed from the 3.5T models. Unfortunately, it’s also less efficient. It gets 18 mpg city/24 mpg highway/20 mpg combined. Additional performance upgrades include bigger brakes and an electronically controlled suspension that constantly adapts to changing road conditions to create an optimal balance of handling and comfort.
Naturally, a sporty appearance package is standard on all V6-powered models. Additional standard features include 19-inch wheels, a panoramic sunroof, leather seats, an Ergo Motion driver’s seat, heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, aluminum interior trim with a haptic carbon pattern, and Highway Driving Assist 2, which is capable of automatic lane-changing.
