The Hyundai Ioniq 5 is a practical and high-tech electric SUV. It has unique styling that makes it stand out, but its practicality comes from its generous cargo space, a driving range of up to 303 miles, and fast charging. You can fill the battery from 10% to 80% in as little as 18 minutes. Naturally, this Hyundai EV comes with the latest safety and infotainment tech features.
In a growing field of electric SUVs, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 is competitive with the Ford Mustang Mach-E, Volkswagen ID.4, and Nissan Ariya. The fun-to-drive dual-motor variants of the Ioniq 5 also compete with the Tesla Model Y and the all-new Chevrolet Blazer EV.

What’s New:
The 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5 SEL has fewer standard features than the 2023 model, and its starting price is slightly lower. Also, every trim gets more standard safety features, including rear side airbags, rear seatbelt tensioners, and steering wheel haptic feedback. The wheel vibrates, for example, when you drift out of your lane or try to change into a lane that’s already occupied. What’s more, a Wi-Fi hot spot comes standard this year.
Our Recommendation:
We like the Ioniq 5 SE model with rear-wheel-drive (RWD) best because it has much better performance and range than the Standard Range SE. The SE is also very well equipped with standard tech features such as a 12.3-inch touchscreen, heated front seats, and Highway Driving Assist.
