The 2024 Lincoln Aviator impresses with its uniquely American take on a 3-row luxury SUV. The styling is bold and even somewhat daring, with an interior rich in texture, design, and color.
With seating for seven, the Aviator is Lincoln’s answer to the Audi Q7, Genesis GV80, Infiniti QX60, and Volvo XC90. Giving buyers a wide range of options, Lincoln divides the Aviator into three well-equipped trims: Premiere, Reserve, and Black Label.
Sadly, last year’s fuel-efficient plug-in hybrid option is dropped, leaving the Aviator’s only power source a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 good for 400 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque. Rear-wheel drive comes standard with all-wheel drive (AWD) optional on the Premiere and Reserve trims and standard on Black Label.
Prices are current at the time of publishing.
What’s New:
For 2024, Lincoln drops the plug-in hybrid engine option from the Aviator equipment roster, resulting in the removal of the Grand Touring and Black Label Grand Touring trims.
On the standard equipment front, the Reserve trim sees its front seats demoted from 12-way power adjustable to 10-way for the driver and 8-way for the passenger.
Our Recommendation:
While the Premiere offers a lot for the money, we think luxury buyers will like the Reserve trim better. The price is right, and the optional equipment list is plentiful.

2024 Lincoln Aviator Premiere: $53,340 (RWD), $55,845 (AWD)
Lincoln has made a habit of offering its least expensive trim with a surprisingly robust standard content list. The 2024 Lincoln Aviator Premiere comes in just under $55,000, a bargain when shopped against comparatively equipped competitors. The trade-off with the Premiere is a limited number of options.
The Premiere rolls on 19-inch bright machined alloy wheels wrapped in all-season tires. An 18-inch compact spare tire serves as a backup. Other standard features include heated power-folding side mirrors with driver’s side auto-dimming feature and Lincoln signature approach lamps, Intelligent Access keyless entry with push-button start, rain-sensing wipers, remote start, and the SecuriCode hidden keypad entry system.
Finishing off the Premiere’s exterior feature set is rear privacy glass, a power liftgate, a capless fuel filler, aluminum roof rails, and wiper-activated LED headlights.
Naturally, Lincoln’s Co-Pilot360 1.5 comes standard. This sophisticated suite of driver aids includes forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, a blind-spot monitor, rear cross-traffic detection, automatic high-beam headlights, a rearview camera, and rear parking sensors.
Additional safety features include front parking sensors, hill start assist, auto brake hold, a tire pressure monitor, and auto on/off headlights. The Aviator’s airbag count includes driver and front passenger knee airbags and 3-row side curtain airbags. Lincoln’s MyKey programmable key fob allows you to set limits on certain features like audio volume and top speed.
As handsome as it is on the outside, the Aviator’s true beauty resides inside its cabin, where luxury appointments are numerous. The list starts with a 10-way power driver’s seat with memory and an 8-way power passenger seat. The front Comfort Seats are heated, and both feature power lumbar support. The 35/30/35 second-row bench seat includes a power Tip-and-Slide release, while the 50/50-split power-folding third-row seat offers room for two. Lincoln’s Soft Touch synthetic leather upholstery covers all three rows.
Luxury amenities include tri-zone automatic climate control with a rear auxiliary heater/cooler, one-touch up/down power windows, and a tilt/telescoping steering wheel with controls for the cruise, audio, and phone.
The list continues with lighted visor vanity mirrors, an overhead console with a sunglass holder, and a frameless auto-dimming rearview mirror. You’ll find seven power points: one 110-volt outlet, two 12-volt outlets (one in the console and one in the cargo bay), and four smart-charging USB ports (one type-A and three type-C) divided between the front and second-row seats.
The driver receives information via a 12.3-inch configurable digital instrument cluster with various screen settings, including the Drive Mode displays for Conserve, Deep Conditions, Excite, Normal, and Slippery.
To the right of the cluster is a large freestanding 10.1-inch touchscreen equipped with the Sync 3 infotainment system. The setup includes a 10-speaker premium Lincoln audio system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hot spot, and access to Lincoln Connect apps and services. The system also allows for personal profiles covering individual settings for climate, driver-assist features, audio, mirrors, and seats.
A standalone upgrade is a voice-activated navigation system with SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link.
The Premiere trim offers the Premium Package that adds a panoramic glass moonroof with power sunshade, second-row captain’s chair seating with center mini-console, and 20-inch wheels.
The Elements Package adds heated second-row seats, a heated steering wheel, and heated front windshield wipers.
The Class IV Trailer Tow Package adds a Class IV hitch, 4-/7-pin wiring harness, trailer sway control, and extended blind-spot coverage when towing a trailer.
