2025 Genesis GV70: Choosing the Right Trim

A newcomer to the luxury market, Genesis has quickly earned a reputation for style, sophistication, and value. The made-in-America 2025 Genesis GV70 leads the charge, a compact luxury SUV with racy good looks and one of its class’s most original and detailed interiors. Along with a long list of standard features, two available powertrains, and a robust optional equipment list, the GV70 has one of the best warranties in the business: 10 years or 100,000 miles on the powertrain, and five years or 60,000 miles covering everything else.

The Genesis GV70 competes with compact luxury SUVs like the Lexus NXAcura RDX, and Infiniti QX50.

Our Recommendation:

The base model of the Genesis GV70 is so well-equipped that it’s the one we recommend. The standard engine has plenty of power, and we love the standard features like all-wheel drive, a hands-free power liftgate, a high-tech infotainment system with a 14.5-inch screen, and Highway Driving Assist.

These are the manufacturer’s suggested retail prices (MSRP) and include the $1,350 factory-to-dealer delivery fee (destination charge). Prices are current at the time of publishing.

2025 Genesis GV70 2.5T AWD Standard: $47,050

The GV70 2.5T AWD Standard is exceptionally well-equipped for a luxury SUV at this price point. The standard powertrain is a 2.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine rated at 300 hp and 311 lb-ft of torque. Output goes to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission. The EPA says the GV70 AWD returns 22 mpg city/28 mpg highway/24 mpg combined.

Standard features at the base level include LED headlights and taillights, a hands-free power liftgate, leatherette seats, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, a wireless charging pad, a 14.5-inch infotainment screen, navigation, SiriusXM, HD Radio, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, a Wi-Fi hot spot, and a 9-speaker audio system.

Standard safety tech features include automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, driver attention warning, blind-spot monitoring, automatic high beams, rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, and the Highway Driving Assist semi-autonomous driving system.

In lieu of individual options, the GV70 2.5T has three option packages from which to choose.

The Select Package ($3,000) adds a panoramic sunroof, a heated steering wheel, aluminum interior trim, a power steering column, a memory driver’s seat, and power-folding mirrors with Genesis logo lamps. The Advanced Package ($6,000) further adds leather seats, a surround-view monitor and blind-spot view monitor, front parking sensors, and reverse automatic emergency braking, plus advanced rear occupant alert, adjustable ambient interior lighting, power lumbar for the front passenger seat, and a 110-volt power outlet in the second row.

Finally, the Sport Prestige Package ($8,900) makes the GV70 a sportier SUV with an appearance package borrowed from the 3.5T models. It gets 21-inch sport alloy wheels, a leatherette-wrapped upper instrument panel, aluminum interior trim with a haptic carbon pattern, and an Ergo Motion driver’s seat with power cushion extensions and bolsters. What’s more, you get 3-zone climate control, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, forward attention warning, a digital key that works on your phone, ventilated front seats, a Lexicon premium audio system, rear sunshades, Remote Smart Parking Assist, mesh seat inserts, and alloy pedals.

Only one paint option comes with no extra charge: Alta White. All pearl and metallic paint options cost an additional $650, while the matte paint options are $1,500.

On a 60-month loan at 5% financing and $0 down, the 2025 Genesis GV70 2.5T AWD Standard monthly payment starts at $888. See 2025 Genesis GV70 2.5T AWD Standard for sale near you

2025 Genesis GV70 2.5T AWD Standard includes:

300-horsepower turbo engine — The standard engine in the GV70 strikes a satisfying balance of performance and efficiency.

Highway Driving Assist — This semi-autonomous driving system automatically keeps you centered in your lane at a safe distance from the car in front of you. You must keep a hand on the wheel and your eyes on the road.

2025 Genesis GV70 3.5T AWD Sport: $59,650

Performance is the main reason for choosing the 3.5T AWD Sport over the 2.5T AWD Standard. Its turbo V6 engine packs a powerful punch with 375 hp and 391 lb-ft of torque. Unfortunately, it’s also less efficient. It gets 18 mpg city/24 mpg highway/20 mpg combined. Additional performance upgrades include bigger brakes and an electronically controlled suspension that constantly adapts to changing road conditions to create an optimal balance of handling and comfort.

Naturally, a sporty appearance package is standard on all V6-powered models. Additional standard features include 19-inch wheels, a panoramic sunroof, leather seats, an Ergo Motion driver’s seat, heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, aluminum interior trim with a haptic carbon pattern, and Highway Driving Assist 2, which is capable of automatic lane-changing.

The GV70 3.5T AWD Sport has two option packages: Sport Advanced ($6,400) and Sport Prestige ($9,600). Sport Advanced adds 21-inch wheels, Nappa leather seats, a leatherette-wrapped upper instrument panel, a microfiber suede headliner, a Lexicon premium audio system, a surround-view monitor, a blind-spot view monitor, Remote Smart Parking Assist, front parking sensors, reverse automatic emergency braking, and a digital key.

Going up to the 3.5T AWD Sport Prestige brings a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, a head-up display, 3-zone climate control, forward attention warning, genuine carbon-fiber interior trim, heated second-row seats, rear door sunshades, acoustic rear door glass, and an electronic limited-slip differential.

On a 60-month loan at 5% financing and $0 down, the 2025 Genesis GV70 3.5T AWD Sport monthly payment starts at $1,126. See 2025 Genesis GV70 3.5T AWD Sport for sale near you
